Thank you for sharing your mistakes during the build. I'm new to woodworking and building a table sled seemed like a daunting task...even after watching the "millions" of other videos out there, all using SawStops and WoodPecker gear. After watching your video, I had enough confidence to give it a go, taking my time...and voila. It worked (without gluing the front fence! :p ). I like the t-track idea running perpendicular to the blade and having the movable fence for angle cuts. I might try add that next. :-)

Great mini workbench. Not something I'd need since I only work at home in a small shed and have a cabinet I bought already built that makes a good solid bench. I got it and two wall shelves, again already made, all pieces about 5 feet by three feet and one foot deep, all for $100 bucks. Don't often come across a deal like that. Nice work on your video. Easy to understand instructions.

this is really nice, love the simplicity with the hand tools! how do you prevent the workbench from tipping over (say if you are chiselling something in the vice or planing a board)?
@StumblingBearWoodcraft2 ай бұрын
Thanks! I clamp this down to another table when using it to keep it from moving around. That's why it has such wide feet, lots of clamping options!

i threw together a very basic copy of your workbench for a friend's kid. just the face vice, skipped the others. dogs and wedges for holding flat. only issue so far is the toggle style screw handles have too much friction if you don't have strong hands. a couple thick fender washers between the handle and the board with some graphite really helped and made it so the kiddo could crank it down enough to hold a work piece securely. otherwise, the bench has been solid and great for a half-grown human.

I thought the point of a moxon vice is for the vise to handle irregular shapes...and that in the moxon vises I have seen...the holes on the front part of the clamping face board should have oval holes to allow for irregular shape clamping performance. Other wise everything else seems on point.
