I've been practicing painting on gessoed cardboard to save money but i hate the way the acrylics just slide across the surface. I never thought of making diy "canvas" panels with old fabrics, BRILLIANT!! 😁 I too love making my own supplies and cutting costs when it makes sense, thanks for the idea. And great video btw, i subscribed and will be watching more ❤

You should never clean the brush over your painting because you will have drips on it like she has done

It's a nice idea to recycle the cardboard and unused curtain, however I find some strange things in the execution of the project. Firstly, while cutting the curtain using the cardboard you've wasted such a lot of white material on the right side. Therefore when you placed the second cardboard you ended up cutting into part of the printed design on the fabric. In fact if you had turned the cardboard the other way you would probably have been able to fit both cardboards side by side without encroaching on the printed area.. you would also have got less wastage on the white material. Secondly, you decided for some reason to use the printed side to stick your fabric to, risking the possibility of the print showing under your fabric. Personally I would have used the clean side of the cardboard under the fabric, and put a layer of paint over the printing (rear of artwork) to try and block out some of the printing. No one looks at the rear anyway.. why not do a perfect job on the front side which everyone looks at. Just some constructive ideas for the next time. 🙂
