Do you recommend the kistler argon rods and the chromium casting reels?

Thanks Johnny for the great insights. I have several of your Core hooks but haven't had success yet. My lake is a horrible bass lake but I'll keep trying. Oh, and thanks for the great Deep Dive App.

Are you using the regular version sakumata or the heavyweight version?
@BassFishingDeclassifiedКүн бұрын
The heavy weight version
@user-hc6zk6wo2oКүн бұрын
Jonny do you think 8in sakamata is working in 20~30ft? Using 3/8oz 7/0 core tackle hook!
@BassFishingDeclassifiedКүн бұрын
It can definitely work on lakes with big gizzard shad in 20 - 30ft of water.

I'm not a big fan of the Core hover rig, but the tush has a spot I love it.
@paulb7943Күн бұрын
I gotta say I like them both. But I agree the Tush has been more useful for me. t
@BassFishingDeclassifiedКүн бұрын
I use the TUSH a lot more than the Hover Rig as well. Hard to fish the Hover Rig on a baitcaster

This technique be good when there’s an algae bloom or is it the water too dirty?
@BassFishingDeclassifiedКүн бұрын
I have had a lot of success with the 8in Sakamata shad in dirty water or when there's an algae bloom
@tombishop470Күн бұрын
Hey Jonny which color do you prefer for the Sakamata, you have the color listed for the other one but wasn't sure which color that was, thanks

I really like the Reservoir Shad color in the 8in size

I enjoy throwing casting, skipping and swim jigs. The first 2 haven't caught me a lot of fish because they get stuck in the junkyard or lost in the grass beds; bank fisherman. Have to use stealthy presentations due to so much pressure on our fish and can get baits back from the snags.

In a recent podcast where it feathers 4 (big names) professional bass anglers, they briefly mentioned about how deep crankbaits are fading out - like you don't hear tournaments being won anymore with deep diving crankbaits. With technology like FFS nowadays, it seems like finesse techs are the way to go.
@bobbyhogan92073 күн бұрын
I am NOT sponsored and I do care when I lose one. Some of us still work hard for a living and losing $8-$12 crankbaits hurts. I just cannot afford to fish them anymore 😫
@BassFishingDeclassified3 күн бұрын
I'm not sponsored either and pay for all of my crankbaits. If you get a good lure retriever, you can get them back 80% of the time.
@tombishop4703 күн бұрын
@@BassFishingDeclassifiedwhich lure retriever have upu had the most luck with. Im with @bobbyhogan9207 if I am fishing where i need to be losing them gets expensive. Ive started throwing bomber fat free shad versions, the 7 size goes to 16ft, not as deep as an strike king xd but covers most of what i am doing and they only cost $4ea.
@BassFishingDeclassified3 күн бұрын
I use the Jewel Hound Dog lure retriever
@tombishop4703 күн бұрын
Somehow my comment was deleted, bomber fat free shad make something similar to the strike king for only $4ea. Hey @BassFishingDeclassified Jonny, do you throw the SK 6xd if the brushpiles, rock are shallower say 10ft ?
@BassFishingDeclassified3 күн бұрын
yes I catch a lot of fish in a 6XD in rock and brush with a 6XD in 8-12ft of water. I will use 17lb monofilament line to make the bait run shallower in those situations.

I use lead core line and fish deep lakes outside weed lines. Been doing it over a decade going on 2. If you use lead core you don't need deep diving crankbaits. Save money catch the same fish

I don't know what any of this is. I've been fishing my whole life but always used crickets, chicken livers, or wigglers. We catch bass in wigglers, catfish on a bit of chicken liver tied in a piece of panty hose, and bluegill on wigglers or crickets

Note. The bite usually happens as that lure is falling, I’d be careful when letting too much line out. You might miss the fish

Jerky in large portions is horrible for you. Jerky should only be eaten in survival situations. That long ass ad for bridgeford jerky at the beginning has me turning away before this video even starts. Maybe you should sell out at the end of your videos in the future so you don't lose potential first time watchers. Food for thoight.

Lmao ppl are crazy af I can catch fish off $10 spin reel combos from Walmart. You don’t need to spend a ton to fish or actually catch them. These guys are like the snap on tool guys. They think cus they spend more money on tools or lures that it helps them catch more fish or fix things any better 😂

Those VMC Crossover rings are one of the best things bass fishing has came out with as far as terminal tackle in the last 10 years in my opinion! I save so many Yamamoto senko’s by using them, I catch several bass on one senko
