Amazing? This is a BAD set up. You should never run pipes straight out the bottom of your van, no matter how clean you think your dishes are. That is really bad form. And filling inside your van with a hose is risky. One loose connection and you've got water all inside your van. Also you should have a filter on your fill hose, depending on where you get your water from.

it's a beautiful spot out there in and around Turon National Park .... good to see you have a nice trip away with mates. You've had a shocker though ... just a couple of things for all to remember as this affects EVERYONE wanting to go out in our NP's - : you're not allowed to use a chainsaw in a National Park to cut up firewood : you're sure as hell not allowed to collect firewood from within a National Park, even if it's laying on the ground ( and clearly from the footage you didn't take it in with you ) : you're not allowed to smoke in a National Park and lastly : you're not allowed to fly drones in a National Park ... You're on fire champ ! Not having a go but more as a reminder for everyone going into National Parks that your trip and your actions can have serious ramifications for all of us who want to use these beautiful places to relax in. Please do the right thing and consider how it can affect others too.

Hello mate! I got interested when you said you could fit springs from a 185 series? and from an 80 series. Are we talking 80 series land cruiser rear springs? and what 185 series front springs? Could you describe more on how to fit oem springs to lift the rear? and mabye you have some sort of similar way to lift the front?

If you remove the over-fenders and rocker panel cladding on the flared-fender versions; will it look exactly like you narrow-fender model? Obviously after filling in any body holes left behind.

@@dronepilot1333 It's probably underpowered for towing. I find it totally fine for everything but I dont tow and I think if you want to tow a caravan, boat or heavy trailer load it would be a bad choice. It could handle a small trailer to do the odd tip run etc. More than that and id say go for the v6 or diesel.

Awesome adventure. My boy has a 97 Prado it's v6 petrol but is talking about needing a diesel for river crossings.D you think a snorkel Will help with deeper river crossings or will it still drown The engine?
@FreedomInMindtv
@FreedomInMindtv Жыл бұрын
Snorkel will definitely help. Petrols can do river crossings too, I’ve had water over my bonnet with no issues. It’s just important to make sure all your electrical ignition components are well sealed 👍🏻

I have that Condor parang. Beat the crap out of it for over 4 years because it’s so cheap I never worry about replacing it. I don’t think I’ll ever have to! Damn thing never chipped, bent, or anything. Plus it sharpens up easy in the field. Nice vid, nice kit, got some ideas for mine. Thanks!!

Advice needed please. I am a newbie with solar and these portable power stations. We are doing a two month long camping trip using a van where we will be basically living out of it without ever using any kind of shore power. We live in Idaho and will be traveling into the backcountry of BC, Canada on this trip. I bought a 12V portable fridge and a Acopower 100W 12V monocrystalline solar panel. I only have room on the roof for one 100W solar panel because I have 2 cargo boxes. Just ordered a BLUETTI EB55 Portable Power Station 537Wh. We drive a lot, at least a little bit each day. We don’t plan on using the battery for anything other than the fridge, as we have a generator for powering everything else. Any help would really be helpful. This newbie would really appreciate any ideas/input!

Petrol is definitely the way to go in my opinion. Having owned a diesel i know all too well how expensive it is to repair. Just about every diesel engine has a 'common problem' and it's not brand specific. zd30 grenade, 1kd (kracking diesel) cracking pistons, 1gd dpf issues, 4jj1 crankshaft snapping, td42 overheating, 4d56 overheating too, 1vd engine dusting. yd25 timing chain problems, all older diesels with injector pumps cost 3k+ for parts alone when they seemingly wear out at around 300k. Modern common rail diesel would not be far behind for cost . The only issues you ever hear with petrol engines is 'they chew the fuel'. modern diesels are so choked up by emision requirements that seem all too common to fail.

What's the fuel economy like on the petrol models? I want to get one for an Africa overland trip and I am curious wether to go for diesel or petrol (Diesel is much more expensive to run here in Europe)
