Instead of averaging down, sell cash secured puts. If the stock drops, you get paid to buy it at a lower price. If it goes up, you keep the put premium. Win/win deal. Additionally, can sell covered calls to get some sort of yield while holding -- or paid to get 'stopped out' on a big pop where you'd want to exit/reduce anyway.

And that's part of the reason why I trade options, when I want to short, or technically go long puts...risk is capped at the premium, worst that can happen is expiring worthless which is still the premium you paid, so my max risk is always the premium but since I day trade and scalp, I'm never even coming close to holding until expiration..and my real risk is usually a quarter of the premium, even on 0dte's. Hopefully you can get that back in a timely manner, but super unfortunate.. I had a rough day yesterday just got chopped up, and went on tilt and kept going thinking I was gonna get it back. Luckily today, I got my losses back plus a couple hundred. Hopefully finish out the week strong. Don't let this get you down, let's finish out the week strong. Powell speaks Friday... Idk if I'm gonna trade, maybe go in small on a lotto.

Thanks bro. Options are a good way to cap your losses. But it hurts to lose the whole premium too! But we gotta just keep moving forward.

TD Ameritrade is just like Merrill Edge: IT SUCKS. They put a 4-day freeze on your account whenever you deposit money, in addition to the waiting time you already have. You might seriously wait a month before they'll even let you make a trade.

Lightspeed is awesome...I'm testing out the demo, they gave me live data because I told them I trade SPX options, the first demo they let me use it wasn't available and it was 15 min delayed. Anyways, I mean the platform doesn't have some ease of use stuff other brokers I've used have....then like they miss certain things that should really be there...like the options level 2/order window...underlying level 2 window you can add SPR. which is the spread...but you can't put that on there for the options level 2 window...in fact there is no way to display the spread for options contracts at all, you have to do the math in your head which isn't hard obviously, but with IBKR I can put the spread calculation on booktrader...so just little things like that. also, so far...as far a demo...it's the most accurate demo I've ever tried as far as demo fills...options fills on paper money demo (tos) are laughable, IBKR with live data the options demo fills are also bad....lightspeed...I was surprised to see the demo actually gets you in at realistic prices, probably not totally realistic but trust me people...I always test out demo platforms before switching to a brokerage...so I've tested a lot of them, there is something about the way they do demo on lightspeed to where you actually get somewhat realistic fills for options...a lot of brokers its all screwed up...its unfortunate they don't let costumers just have a demo account on the side because it's actually really accurate if you are the type who want's to practice trading. So definitely good impression so far and I really like how light the program is on my machine...it runs so damn well its so snappy. IBKR and TOS...yeah right, those bog down when it's high volatility, doesn't matter what kind of internet connection you have. I'm probably gonna switch to lightspeed but keep using TOS charts..that's all I like about tos is their charts.

I like your regular format this just kind of wandered around and felt directionless and the guest has no clue what hes talking about on Saturday I was talking with my brother and felt confident there would be a bailout for even uninsured depositors to prevent the spread of fear the guest Has no clue it was announced on Sunday that there was a meeting and on Monday money would be available for withdrawal

I bought a 187 shares a while back (3-4 years ago). As you've said Palantir was supposed to become a great co. I later learned that they have high expenses and like to pay management high salaries. Apparently Karp is a billionaire. I stopped buying shares but didn't want to get out. So far Pltr has been a huge disappointment. However, I didn't put that much money into the company, so I'll continue waiting.

if it weren't for the vast group of individual anecdotal people saying how powerful the software is I may have bowed out as well. however I did buy puts and sell calls against my position mitigating the downside. All that being said below 7.50 is cheaper than the DPO price. and I continue to add to my position in that range because I believe the company has added a lot of value over the last few years.

How many shares do you own Frugal Tiger? Just curious on how many shares you guys think I should own for long haul in a Roth? I have 320 but I'm thinking maybe around 1200? I plan on trying to get that many. Would appreciate some thoughts on that.

This was a good short little video I see you could have gotten as high as maybe 700 on Google but Like you said you're not waiting around and careful to take profits even if they're small and being consistent. Maybe in the future you can talk about the many different charts that they offer like RSI and things like that Though personally I've never really used that stuff fibinacci curves and things like that

they did have an antitrust filed against them this week, but I'm not too worried about that - at these prices most of faang is a great buy imo. was surprised to see the strong reaction to the layoffs in the stock price but I guess it makes sense, as out of all of big tech google has avoided any layoffs for the longest time (apart from apple).

yeah just be careful with stocks in general right now. I am biding time right now with any major positions so I am just grinding some day trades. I don't want to give any advice in particular as I am wrong half the time but even fang can drop lower in a major bear market. I will agree with you on the long run that fang is probably going to do pretty good.

Real $hit. Prices are very random so I feel a need to trade into larger weekly trends like Nasdaq rebounding off recent lows, etc. $2300 -$1800 = $400 reality check but these videos help to dispel notions of consistently identifying price direction with secret formulas methods or techniques. Maybe you could do a video on position trading over a period of a few days to a week or more.

Yeah real life isn’t a linear line of profits. Unfortunately I think most people want to be sold a dream lol. I actually try to keep in cash overnight these days. Helps with stress of bag holding. But if the opportunity arises I will share.

You'd have the be crazy to claim the market is hard to trade. With so much volatility, as long as you know a thing or two about liquidity, you can pretty much close your eyes and make a buck. You probably were an amateur one dimensional trader to begin with, used to the low volatility, melt up kind of conditions from may 2020-2022. NOTE: I don't mean that as an insult, just not sure how else to put it.
