I'm guessing you mean "Seam"... I use clear resin to fill large gaps like that as clear resin cures better in large quantities than the coloured stuff does. You can see the light shining on it as she goes around

Great video! It would be nice to see more of the prep work like color mixing and cleaning up supports. No need to cut those "boring" parts off.

was the trident printed wrong for yours? I have two pointy end on both the pieces to print where the trident attaches to eachother.
@sveeart
@sveeart 7 ай бұрын
Yep that's correct. The left arm has a bit of the trident modelled into her hand so the two bits of the trident you print connect into it. I decided to replace the pole of the trident with a brass rod for extra strength so I had to drill out her hand and just print the top and bottom parts of it.

i really appreciate the explanations while the video is going, and the quality of the camera, along with the airbrush, normally i will watch a video where someone will spray and i can't see where they sprayed and it didn't look like they put down anything, with this i can see like each spray line and understand a lot more now about where to paint and what. Well done video. Can i ask what you usually mix to thin the paints in the airbrush. The paint came out so smooth. Can't wait to see more! Well done. (I like the florescent in the eyes bit.. imma have to try that!)

Ah awesome, glad you found the video useful. It can be hard to see where an airbrush sprays sometimes. If you're using a colour that's very close to the one that's already on the surface, or if you're spraying very lightly it can look like nothing is going on the surface at all. To thin the paints I've used the specific reducer for that paint brand. For example, the createx stuff I use there is a 4011 reducer that is specifically made for that paint brand. If I don't have the right reducer for a paint I'm using I tend to use a bit of water but be careful as using too much will give you adhesion problems and your paint will come off just by touching it.

Do you do this for others? I’d love a guitar like this
@sveeart
@sveeart 8 ай бұрын
Hiya, I notice you're in the USA. I'm in the UK and sadly since brexit shipping costs have gone through the roof. It's so much money to ship a guitar to and from overseas now that unfortunately, I only do commissions for UK based people. Unless the person is willing to cover the hundreds of dollars it now costs for shipping 🙁
@zombiesylar
@zombiesylar 5 ай бұрын
@@sveeart Hey if you see this do you have a estimate on how much that shipping would probaly cost? Seems like you would be worth paying for its hard to find good guitar aibrushers.
@sveeart
@sveeart 5 ай бұрын
@zombiesylar hey, at the moment for me to ship a guitar from rhe UK to the USA costs roughly £300 and then you will have customs fees/import taxes ontop. So once you add the cost of shipping the guitar to me, the cost of the paint job AND the cost of the shipping back to you the whole thing will probably set you back £1600-£2000 (2000-2500 dollars) :(

There are so many people doing this now, and others selling vinyl stickers, that i do this for customers if they request it. Thanks to brexit and the increase in shipping costs, I only take commissions from UK based people now though. Thanks brexit *sigh*
