Thank you for showing how to apply wallpaper to the new gypsum boards. But what if the wall is the typical Japanese earth wall? Can you do the same way or do you need to prime the earth wall first? How about a plywood wall?
Stunning in the bits we saw but like another commenter said, I’d love to have seen a final walk through!! You did an incredible job!! Bravo!! Adore your egg sauna!

OMG. That is the egg-shaped spaceship for Mork from Ork.
Not a stich of insulation how did they heat the place?

Wow! So so beautiful! My only question is: How do you stop all the warmpth sitting in the ceiling/roof of the home in winter and the bottom half of the home being super cold. I am Australia, so here we have A/C and fires in our homes for winter/summer and lots of insulation. But not many homes are open ceilings like yours are now. I absolutely love it though, i love to see the old beams and architecture from the original makers. You've done them proud with your renovations!
This person is amazing! I didn't know a DIY can be shown such a perfect way before wathing his videos.

I am looking to use cafe boards in my recently purchased kominka. How well are the holding up over the many years? I have seen the cafe boards and I want to know how they feel after many years of use?
