Beautiful change! My mother had Ethan Allen Early American furniture. She was so proud. I was expected to help take care of her furniture with polishing it and she was never pleased with my efforts. No one else cared about her style of furniture. It was a burden after my parents died. My husband and I have used furniture that fits our lifestyle. Lovely makeover.

Its a beautiful piece. My only comment about reducing the size of the feet may affect the tip over ratio of weight on the piece. I would stress using mounting brackets in the rear because children love to open bottom drawers to climb, thereby creating a tip over issue

Wow, what a beautiful new creation! You did an awesome job taking an outdated piece of furniture and giving it new life. So many uses. Love the color and the hardware is perfect. It is wonderful to recycle and save items from the landfill. Looking forward to a video on the top piece to see what you create. Thank you for sharing.

How do you get chalk paint to leave a smooth finish? I have watched so many videos. I sand in between coats and it still feels chalky and rough. I tried the silk version but after watching this video I will try spraying it.

You need to find a metal worker so the table could be combined. A mix of wood and metal would be awesome with a nod of preserving the originality of the piece.

What happened to the top piece? I think it would be cool to put on a wall as a hanging shelf.

Wow thanks. I have been putting off the removal of many coats of paint from a dresser. Hate using stripper. It’s so messy and like you said. You get it all over from walking on it. Thanks again

Honestly, if people have an issue with what you do, I’m sure they can find another channel to complain to……why work harder when you can work smarter. Thank you for the beyond paint info. I have a chair that needs painting…it will be super easy now!

You’re AMAZING! Im an interior designer by formal education/profession. You should be teaching a class to future designers in college! Your technique, simple/concise/detailed/step by step/pleasant/etc teaching style - along with your knowledge/skills/helpful tips/to do/not to do - you’d be an asset to any student. Truly beautiful work!!!!

Btw, can’t wait to try this technique and paint. I have a 40 yr old classic Bassett Dresser that’s still sold by them. One of their top sellers. I was going to donate and go to a more streamlined in vogue style - it’s a wood finish. But, I’m now going to try this technique to give it update w/new color/hardware. Wish me luck!😊 Thanks!
