I confess, I couldn't name another TT song other than Delta Dawn, but I know OF her; mainly from the tumultuous years with Glen Campbell when they were supermarket tabloid regulars. She seems like a genuinely sweet lady whose been through it.

I have heard Delta Dawn on the Radio since I was 10 years old. I just assumed that Tanya was an Adult Performer in her 20's or 30's ..I assumed she was Loretta Lyn and Dolly Parton's age. Years later with more forms of Media .. I knew that Leanne Rymes was very young when she became famous.

I think her voice improved with age. When she was a teenager, she had that really strong / fast vibrato which mellowed over time.

Used to see Tanya out and about in the early 80s at places like Le Dome on Sunset. It was a very trendy popular place with lots of very wealthy people & industry people who frequented it. Tanya was friendly and fun and not pretentious at all. She played Tahoe back then as well, so invited her to my parent's dinner house when she was in town. She is a huge horse lover too, so was fun to chat about that. She is authentic and down to earth . Super lady❤

I grew up in east atn n spent most of my 50 years on planet earth right here in Claiborne co Tn and out of all the country music i heard come out of that ole A.M. radio speaker when Tanya Tucker came across the radio waves it was a special treat for me .

I remember thinking, when first seeing Tanya, how young she was ! I think maybe 16 or so ? That was how many years ago ? My nephew, only a couple years old then, sang along with her Delta Dawn, which everyone got a kick out of, as he was so sincere ! 🥰 Then as the years went by, I was just as surprised to hear the stories that circulated at the time ! And she made it out the other side ! Likely forever changed !

I grew up on her music… singing her songs as loud as I could , riding in the back of a pickup truck in small town Miles City MT. With my best friend Karla and my black dog Clyde. 1970’s

Anyway, I love Mindy I’m a caregiver. I love my elderly people like Family so the fact she has a foundation makes me so happy.
