One of my favourite violin concertos. Great orchestral accompaniment. The violinist is absolutely superb.

@@totto7380 it’s a Death Note reference. This song plays during a scene where a character says this as a code word while speaking to someone on the phone.

This one is a hate-love case. I like the concert per se, but I hate it after I spent a whole year playing it for a violin exam 30 years ago. I was unable to keep up with the tempo on the 3rd mov.

The best interpretation of a viola work is made by a violinist!

For my taste played just a fraction too fast (not quite as beautiful as the other famous performances)

I didn't realize that Janine Jansen also plays viola. She is quite tall, and a powerful violinist, so the transfer to viola of those same attributes in addition to her stellar musicianship should come without surprise. BEAUTIFUL PLAYING!

@Totto In Europe during the early 18th century, there were essentially no copyright laws, and Bach took advantage of that... But wait!...Even in the early 19th century, Schubert had to ask those who sang and "improvised heavily" with his songs: "oh, who's the composer of that now?".... Nonetheless, thanks for your bizarre comment...
@totto7380 Жыл бұрын
@@thomasboushier2972 I haven't talked about copyright, and I mean that the word "steal" doesn't quite fit. Bach transcribed and recomposed many of his concerts, and he also adapted them to his own style, which is quite clear when you listen to it.
