You might want to check on the distance setting. The single bar puts you MUCH closer to the vehicle in front of you. (I think you got this backwards!)

Love using my auto climate control feature on my 2019 Toyota Rav4. I habe since i bought new and never not use it. I find most people have no Clue what it does or how it works and ate not even interested in knowing. Ive tired suggesting it to people But some ignore it. They rather turn everything wide open and run it that way.

With great power comes great responsibility... Yes, it's all about managing that right foot. I got 32.8 MPG on a 196 mile round-trip (so no net elevation change) drive from Boston-ish to Newport RI in a 2024 X5 with the 48V mild hybrid. It's EPA rated for 27 MPG highway.

Your instructions are totally contradicated by the Camry 2021 manual which states that RES is to RESUME cruise control not reset it and that the distances are 160ft (50m), 130ft (40m), 100ft (30m) as indicated by most lines to least lines not the other way around as you describe in the video.

Can you please let me know how solve the volume problem. When I use steering wheel Volume up N down button it does not work Just say "play or adjust volume to continue listening?
@EngineerDave5 ай бұрын
This is a very poor video explaining adaptive cruise control. The following points were explained incorrectly: 1. There is no "reset" button as stated in the video. The RES stands for resume, and it used to resume the last cruise control setting after it was cancelled. 2. The following distance setting was shown incorrectly, as having 3 bars on the screen is the longest following distance, and having 1 bar is the shortest following distance. It's clear that the person in the video has very little knowledge about the adaptive cruise control system, and they should get someone who actually knows what they're talking about to make these "educational" videos.

How do I choose an option to blow wind on the front window only? I see there's legs+window option BUT my windows gets foggy real fast, when using this mode. That said, my workaraound is to use Front windows button and then manually reduce vent from max to something comfortable. But maybe I'm missing something here?

@@phsycopiano that behavior is probably needed to get the high road safety ratings. I know in Australia there are things like the need to warn if someone seems to be sitting in the back seat when the driver stops the car (to stop someone forgetting their kid in the back seat).

This didn’t help at all how come every single Toyota under the hood looks so different placement of the batteries is always different. I can’t find the node to put it on there. Is it the thing right behind the positive or the small little numb ? I don’t know!!!
@Pebblesego8 ай бұрын
I couldn’t see exactly how you connected the positive on the Toyota.
@Ihpfs8 ай бұрын
On the positive node on the battery. The positive cable always attaches to both cars positive battery nodes. Either you'll see a plus sign on that side off the battery or red caps or perhaps a red cable coming off it. All batteries tend to have a plus or minus on the batteries anyways.

I think you’ve spent far too long talking about the benefits of the auto system without delving into more manual controls which was what I was looking to learn. At the end of the video I’m still mystified as to how/when/how to sync the side/back air conditioning etc or how to manually override stuff.

Is there a feature on cars that start the engine automatically from time to time when parked outside in extreme cold? The idea is to prevent deep freeze and easy start in the morning. Which Toyota models have this feature and what it is called?

It was a cold day and I turned the temp from low to 24. Then the air became hot. It didn't change after that even when I switch it back to Lo. The strange thing is, the rear a/c is cold whereas the front is hot. How do I reset the a/c?
