I care for Dzongsar Rinpoche tremendously, however I find he tends to be dismissive of scientists and people he characterizes as 'intelligent', here suggesting the experience and embodiment of Bodhicitta, for example upon just one encounter with the Heart Sutra, should somehow be reserved for people without these qualities. I find it reasonable that people of high intelligence, though difficult to train, may be the one's who would be the most effective at ending suffering for the most sentient beings. Is it not people of high intelligence that have assisted him in his efforts to translate the words of the Buddha and spread it to so many new places? Is he himself not intelligent?

I'm so glad that I listen to this episode, although it was late. I'm into learning Buddhist teachings specially from DJK Rinpoche and learned the stories of great masters..... about a year now. So, first time listening the teaching of Erik Pema Kunsang....... Amazing! I'm touched by these stories, specially Buddha offering handfull of sands to the kid. Kid appreciated Buddha's kind gesture with pure and noble heart. 🙏☸️🪷❤ Thank you Erik for giving us great advice. Thank you 84000 Team for their dedication of merit. I can't wait to download it for my kids. I do teach them Buddhadharma. According to Guru Rinpoche advice, parents need to teach their kids Buddhadharma. Thats the best thing we can offer them, so their virtuous and merit can carry on in all their lifetime to come.......I'm quite worry about the life that future generations will face. Hope the future Kids can learn Buddhadharma at Primary School one day. ❤☸️🪷🌈🙏

One of the most important and positive events happening in the world today is the work of 84000 Translating the Words of the Buddha. It makes all the current internet phenomena to pursue an objective comon sense. It is a gift for turbulent times like those we live in. May the Dharma prevail!
