Im gonna add 1 that might upset people, financial success in trucking isn’t for everyone, the main reason I got into trucking is because free cost of living, in life you have to identify the problems and get creative and find a solution, todays cost of living is holding people back so I said I can live in a truck and make very good money at the same time that means I could save 80% of my paychecks rather than it all making someone else rich paying bills, so if you have family and people depending on you trucking is gonna feel like any other job except you’ll never be home so think about this

First time found down the gap I was with my trainer and it was thick fog and traffic going down , I slowed it down to 35 to access the situation and my trainer got mad telling me if I’m scared pull over and let him drive. I cussed his ass out so bad and finished the hill and when we parked he apologized 😂 said I handled it like a professional and told me don’t never let nobody get me In a rush. Regardless that was last time with him as a trainer I did not like buddy

He is absolutely right. It's really a mind set. If your depressed you look depressed and it's scary having those drivers on the road they may not be stable enough to operate a machine that can take lives. He is absolutely right. You may not get a daily shower but you can dress probably and keep hygiene up when showering shaving etc. Empty urine at the truck stop bot out the window.

Get the most cents per mile you can, as a company driver, put all the risk, fuel, repairs, and slow freight on the company. I've been, company driver, owner operator, lease to company, and had my own authority, running loadbords. PUT ALL THE RISK ON THE COMPANY. Just another opinion 😊

Hey Tyler, great video and very informative. Thanks! I had a question about the Walmart dedicated out of Cheyene. I've watched some of your other videos about it, and I've also looked at the Crete website. Do drivers get paid a higher rate per mile while helping out on the Walmart dedicated even if they are just helping out? And also a higher pay for weekend work? Do you know more about that? And can drivers that are 48 state OTR, can they request to stay on that Walmart dedicated for like a whole month if they want that higher pay? And do you think it's worth it?

Now if you look at Just trucking he makes his money other ways He doesn't necessary rely on his truck hauling loads to make him money.

The only way truckers are making it in this market is with KZfaq money.... Notice how many OO are posting videos. I'm an OO with paid for equipment been looking at spot rates at $1.25-$1.60 for a week now, not even worth turning the key and taking the insurance risk for that.

Very good advice. And I appreciate how you always have a positive attitude. I have a few questions I was wondering about. When you were a company driver for Crete, did you get a lot of northeast runs? Because I saw another KZfaqr who said he's worked for Crete for 7 years, and he said one of the things he doesn't like about Crete is that they have a lot of northeast runs. So I was just curious about what your experience has been with that? Also, I was wondering if you have a preference as far as taking a 70 hour reset, or running on recap hours if you have them? Another Crete driver I saw on KZfaq said he prefers to do 70 hour resets every week, and he said he still gets 3000+ miles a week. Thanks!
@TheLivingFreedChannel
@TheLivingFreedChannel 10 күн бұрын
You will run all over the country if you’re all 48 OTR. However sometimes if you get sent to the northeast you can end up in that area for a while cause there’s so much freight out there for Crete. As far as doing a reset or running recaps I prefer to run recaps but if I can get a reset that doesn’t affect my productivity then I’ll do a reset for a fresh clock. Either way you can hit 3000 miles per week

Hey Tyler, that's so true when you said: "It doesn't matter where you start; it matters where you finish." It reminds me of the proverb that says, "Better is the end of a matter than it's beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." (Ecclessiastes 7:8.)
