What sort of suspension is that, looks like it raises when the accelerator is floored.

No way! I got rodded a 78 Z7 back in the 80’s! What a lot of people don't know is that these cars had the fox body design. Mustang performance parts fit without mods. Plus these car weighed about 2500 lbs.

Great video! I also have a D9AE... 351W small block bored to .040.It might need cylinder to be bored and I wonder if going with .060 is not too much for my engine just I'll be using it for street drive and occasionally off road...
@rotorway133 Жыл бұрын
So far no issues for me at 0.060....but my block is a 1974
@solarflare4259 Жыл бұрын
@@rotorway133 Yes, you have a thicker block; when I'll open the engine and look inside will decide if cylinders need honing only or re-bored . For now I see 44 psi on in cyl. #8... all the other read between 125 and 170 psi...Hopefully the valves...

Just ran across this. You have to sweat plastic with a butane torch then quickly wipe with rubbing alcohol. This releases the slick material (silicone) that is inbeded in plastic to help release from a mold. Do this first then, scuff, then clean, then adhesion promoter, then paint, then clear!

How do you know they are seated correctly? Do you do a vacuum or water test? Thank you
@rotorway1332 жыл бұрын
When you lap the valves, you can actually see if they seat properly. Also, a compression test once the engine is assembled will tell you if all is good
@chrispack31312 жыл бұрын
@@rotorway133 I personally would do a vacuum test of just the cylinder head & valves to verify everything is good before fitting the head to the engine. The last thing I’d want to do is have to take it all apart should the leak down test not be good. Take care
@ayyy9017 Жыл бұрын
@@chrispack3131 just put some gas on top of the valve and see for leaks
@chrispack3131 Жыл бұрын
@@ayyy9017 That will work! I normally fill the ports full of fuel & check for leakage from the valve seats.

Great looking Zephyr. One of the nicest I’ve seen. That was one of my first builds in high school. My car was sitting on a friends yard forever and I just got it back. Plan to restore and having it look like it used too (which was quite similar to yours with the painted grill/bumpers and black interior. Also took all the hideous vinyl that was on the roof lol. It has a 351w and 8.8, so I’ll probably get a rebuild done. I couldn’t see your dash setup well. Are you using an aftermarket made for mustangs or…?
@rotorway1332 жыл бұрын
Also had one in high school but sold it way too soon. Decided to get another one like 40 yrs later! Its quite different now. I made many more mods.

The video was made 2 yrs ago. I just sold my ATV last May ( 2020) . The buyer was amazed how good the paint job was. I mean...it was a 2002 Polaris 500. Of course if you ride in heavy wooded areas and keep scrapping it with branches, it will damage the paint but if you ride on normal cleared trails, the paint will last for years

which lib shoud i use getting error when im trying this
Still working awesome. So it shows % of fuel left in the video which is pretty cool. 0% for empty and 99% for full. No brainer. Recently I installed a fuel cell in my trunk. The fuel level sending unit that comes with the tank is not the correct one. So now....I have to read the guage as 0% = Full and 99% empty. This guage cannot " reverse" the reading. Eventually I will need to replace the sending unit in the tank for an opposite resistor model.
