Yes Elvis was a great entertainer but it's so sad what happened to him. He was put on a pedestal so high that no human could look up too! 😢

Can't believe those gals did that to P. Never heard of this. He could have broken his hand. Thanks for covering this. People today would have been arrested and then sued him. I can't believe those girls still showed up at his home and '68 special. I guess back then, women fighting with each other was looked upon differently. Glad to hear EP's music in restaurants and shops again. I think owners play Alexa or music from their songs list.

Although I’m not an advocate for physical violence, if someone did that to my wife, I certainly would not just stand looking on, & that was two against one, & Priscilla was petite, & the one sister was probably double her weight, so I don’t blame Elvis one little bit. You jerk the chain of a tiger, you do it at your own peril. Those sisters were stalkers, not fans.

I only recently started on this Elvis journey. I have to say, I am amazed, hypnotized, deeply moved, and in awe of the life Elvis lived. I was born in 74, so I was very young when he left this world. Growing up, I really didn't give any attention to who he was, just seemed to be some guy on a velvet painting or heard crooning in the background as time went by . I turned 50 this year, and I guess I just needed to get old enough to be in the right state of mind to be able to not only dig in as deep as I can go, but to be able to appreciate what I am finding. It really all began when my partner of almost 20 years and I decided we wanted to get married in Vegas this fall. We have always been involved in music over the years, mostly bluegrass and jambands, and even used to perform together as the band Moonshine Summit years ago in Houston. We found out that our favorite bands were going to be coming together over a weekend in Sept. at the Westgate Hotel (formerly the International) for the Bender Jamboree festival. Also on site is a wedding chapel, Chapel of Crystals. We booked our passes for the music which included a hotel room, and also booked our spot for getting married by an Elvis impersonator. In learning that this used to be the venue that Elvis performed shows at, I decided to take a closer look at who he really was. Boy did I not see this coming! I fell deep into the rabbit hole, and have been watching everything I can find to put all the puzzle pieces together. It has been a lot to take in, getting to know him this way. It makes me a bit sad that I will never truly get to know or meet him, but I am moved by the fact that his "legend" lives on and continues to spread. He got one more fan, in 2024. :) I am very excited about the wedding to come, and can't wait to be at the "International" with all the back history and knowledge that I would not have had if I had not taken this journey into his world. I wonder who else will be there that will appreciate what we are getting to do, see multiple bands playing over the course of 4 days in one of the places where Elvis broke the ground and set all of this into motion, making it possible for all our current rock music to even exist the way it has evolved. I know I will have that on my mind when I am enjoying all the music and dancing with friends, as well as getting married and celebrating the best way I can think of. It will be one heck of a party/reception. I also want to thank you for putting these videos together to share with us all. Strange things are happening everyday!
