if they DID get ahold of weed, weed can interact Very poorly with schizophrenia, and obviously i don't know what meds gary was on and how they would've interacted, and how much/often he smoked since getting medicated, but personally i think it's possible that the boys smoked, it triggered gary's paranoia, he freaked out and was compelled to go up the mountain, and if the boys were used to following his direction, they would've followed. especially if gary was panicked or disproportionately afraid of something, it probably woulda freaked the others out as well. don't have an explanation for the hunting trip guys and the visits to the country store, but if the red truck WAS there i'm thinkin, based on absolutely nothing, maybe the boys drove up and parked to get high in private, the red truck came up there for whatever other reason, they were talking through the window, and possibly said something gary's paranoia reacted to. obviously i don't know any of this, and this is the only video i've watched on this case, but like. idk. i've seen weed Fuck Up ppl i know who had various psychotic disorders, it's not fun and one of them did basically vanish into thin air for a while, and even though i'm mentally sound in that regard, even i've experienced bouts of extreme paranoia after smoking a little too much. if u r experiencing a paranoid/psychotic episode, ur not gonna be thinking straight or acting rationally, which could also partially explain why they got out of the car without thinking of rolling up the window but then suddenly taking off, and why they might've taken the longer trail. the cold and the physical activity and the hours it would've taken to walk 20 miles uphill in the snow in the dark might've allowed gary to come back to his senses somewhat to take care of ted. i'm not a psychologist and i don't have schizophrenia so i could just be talking out of my ass right now, but i think it's worth considering. not that there's rly anything that can be done abt the whole thing at this point lol

FINALLY I have relevant experience, there is no way to get that high, I'm sorry, there is not, you still respond to shit around you, you may do so in a less cognizant way or with less import on it, but you're still experiencing reality, I say this as someone who has smoked ounces in nights, you cannot get that high, hell for most people there is an extent to how high you'll feel anyway plus tolerance starts kicking in, when I'm smoking as heavy as TWENTY JOINTS IN ONE SESH(obviously not doing that but when I'm smoking that much weed in general, not same delivery method but still smoking) you just don't get as high, fuck I can literally hit a wake n bake and my nighttime seshes, I won't feel as high, twenty joints is such a joke estimate though, they smoked under an ounce to TWO people and got so high they couldn't see hear feel or hell even FEEL it coming? that doctor must've hit 19 joints before the autopsy or I'd have to say he's pulling that number and excuse, OUT OF HIS ASS. again 20 joints, the average joint has .8-1.0 g of weed nowadays, those aren't skinny nor are they fat that's a normal joint, you're telling me, they smoked only 16-20 grams EACH, and got SO HIGH they couldn't see hear or feel a literal train coming, I've been smoking weed(this is NOT a brag in any way) since I was 12, that doctors smoking crack if he thinks weed is anything like that. fuck even the cost of that much weed, that's again, over an ounce of weed, nearly 2, and back when it was less legal, how in the FUCK did 2 teens get that much dope to even smoke it, Malak was a bald faced liar and he knew it and he did his best to hide it.
