@@mainetroutwhisperer I've never fly fished so I don't have any of their fly rods but I have a medium light and a light action spinning rod made by them that I like. Anyway I think I might just go with this set up in the video because I can get it for like 60 bucks and although I'm sure it's not the best and normally I like to buy once cry ones this time I think I'm just going to stay cheap to get my feet wet.

Thanks for the hacks. Here's a hack for those that have a difficult time loading your boat in heavy current. Install a self-centering roller on the rear cross-member. Really helped me load my 17ft. Alumacraft, especially by myself.

We're almost at this point on my brothers cabin build in Woodstock, Maine. Do you have to use plastic because the timbar has no vapor barrier? Check my brothers much smaller cabin if you want. NavyDavesVideos is his channel. He's still waiting on a septic install currently. Septic installs are so expensive. 😢
@mainetroutwhisperer12 күн бұрын
The insulation that I used (TimberHP) they recommended using an air barrier for helping with condensation, etc. Only because I’m using pine boards. Not needed if you use sheet rock or some type of covering with no seams. A lot of folks won’t even use it, especially in a cabin, but they recommend it, so I did it.

Would a smaller net be better?lighter and Easier to carry?
@mainetroutwhisperer13 күн бұрын
Depends how big of a net you need. A lot of the new nets are carbon fiber and very light, but yes. Get as small as you can and it won’t be as cumbersome

Just got one of these for my truck and found this video after looking at the instructions. It basically consisted of one image that essentially says "attach awning to roof rack". Hmm, I'm usually not one for too much instruction, but I'm going to need a little more than that. I'll have to use some redneck ingenuity since I don't have a roof rack, but a bed rack with a rooftop tent mounted on it, but I watched enough MacGyver as a kid that I should be able to make it work.

I am the maker of the Bubs Daddy Aerator. I don't recommend taking the pump out like that because it will now let the moisture into the case and cause more problems with the electronics. Just put a vent in the cooler so they don't build pressure in the cooler. Vent cooler and use a check valve that is provided with the aerator and you should be good.
@mainetroutwhisperer15 күн бұрын
My issue was the hole in the side of the aerator that the pump uses to get air was sucking water in, either from snow, or sloshing water. Once it got in the pump it froze. I just have it pulling air from inside the box now..I figured this was not recommended but had to do something
@nathanw57479 күн бұрын
1 thing i noticed I have the next size up cooler and it actually as 3 holes 2 screw holes and 1 vent came like this from frabill wondering if I should seal up that hole bc it sits right under the pump and add the front vent to prevent water from being able to enter good idea or bad ? Let me know . Also I always waterproof all my electronic boards. You can buy what's called conformal coating i do this on all the drones I build works really well and pretty cheap.
