Thanks for the videos. I'm in Denmark so it is fun to see your adventure. It is quite an adventure you are having. I think one of those little wet books you found could end up having a significance down the line. Keep paddlening!

In the short time I spent with Dotti and the guys it was apparent she is a very special woman. The words I’d use to describe her are “naturally effervescent”. I wish her safe travels and a good year at school. I hope that injured toe is healing and not going to be a problem. Your videos are great, thanks for sharing your experiences.

Awesome trip and vlog. Im sure uou know already but the barges wipl be the least of your worries below Baton Rouge. The river gets deeper, rougher, and theres ship traffic that creates serious wakes and draws. Please be safe.

You are getting closer to my neighborhood. Before long you will pass the bridge at Chester, Illinois where a new bridge is being constructed at mile 109.9. The biggest point of interest in my area is Tower Rock located at mile 80. It was written about by Marquette and Joliet in 1673 and President Grant kept it from being removed in 1871 by an Executive Order. A little north of it is a pipeline suspension bridge which is no longer being used and at approximately mile 81.5 is the Wittenberg Boat Club ramp on the Missouri side. They have a nice pavilion there and there may be fishermen putting in there. Most of the people who use that ramp are pretty good folk.

I am so glad I stumbled upon your channel the day before you hit St. Louis. I moved here 2 years ago from CO, and still find the river to be magical and mysterious. I am actually learning so much from your lovely adventure! I would have met you down by the river with big pile of cookies if I had found your channel a couple of days earlier! Now I am catching up on where you have been. Happy travels. 😊

I just came by one of your videos looking at Lil Hobo houseboats. I ended up watching all your uploads in one go. I hope you know that you are having the time of your lives. I know you don't need anything but if I could give you something I would give you all camping chairs. It sucks so much sitting on the ground, right? Water shoes would be nice too. Keep having fun. Greetings from the Missouri side and welcome to St. Charles County. I've been on the lookout for you to offer a campsite and to break some bread but looks like you are doing fine as expected! Just after you see the Golden Eagle ferry (coming up soon for you) you will come across a County Park with some facilities but you will probably come across that in the morning and keep heading downstream. Message me about the canoe sale.
