Excellent video. Reasons for choice is spot on. I thought of doing similar with motorcycle but ended up with a sidecar & using a hammock & tarp. Sidecar lets me take table & compact chairs. It works for me. You have a great set up, very done. Thank you for sharing.

I added the aircon unit, water tank with cold shower, roof rails, power outlets in the sleeping area, 250w solar blanket, external side lights, and I asked to have a little more depth in the kitchen and gave up a few mm in the sleep area ☺️ cost is at the end of the video/also in the second review video ☺️

Looks great, does the table sag too much with weight on it? Does it need a support leg in the middle or a cable from the middle back to the camper wall?

Be cognisant that there is an airbag on the dash in front of the passenger seat. In the event of an accident where the airbag deploys, your dash cover and whatever is placed on it will become missiles flying around your vehicle.

Great video Madi . Just got to be very gentle on those clips or wise it could be a very expensive exercise have to replace them. You need to go to 4 wheel drive super Center and get your self some Adventure King’s seat covers I have found them fantastic jump into your car with wet swimmers on or getting in and out with muddy clothes on better than getting your seats destroyed.

A nice set up Madi. We have a small teardrop style camper trailer which we tow behind a fully decked out Toyota Hiace campervan. The camper trailer is a second bedroom only and a bit extra stowage when on the road. No kitchen, as all the cooking facilities are in the Hiace. The little trailer only weighs 220kgs unladen and is a doddle to tow behind the Hiace. Packed up, probably around 300kgs. It easily passed the test on a three week tour around Tassie, lately. It received a lot of interest from other travellers while we were away.

Hey Madi your trailer looks great it reminds me of a small version of a Caravan. It a great idea when you can park up for the night and you can sleep with out have to set it up because lots of camper trailers now days you have to spend at least half and hour setting it up.

very nice little setup you have, I am the same way I like everything basic and am currently getting Square drop built, but not by The Teardrop company, I was thinking about air-con, but will do it with fans and open windows for the moment. Safe travels wherever you go 😁

Aircon is fine if you stay at powered sites To be honest you really do not need it and we have been out far west and up North. We just dont camp between December and January when temps can be up to and over 40 degrees. Have fans and screens all thats needed
@_madi_cate
@_madi_cate Жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure! Aircon is not for everyone, I’ve just done enough camping in hot swags/tents/mozzie nets that I knew I wanted to have the capability to run an aircon if I was too hot! Also all the big caravans travel aus with Aircons fitted why not a teardrop 😋

The one thing I did add to my set-up in my Teardrop was an Anderson plug so it charges the AGM in the Teardrop as I drive and keeps my fridge going which is in the camper. If I'm away for a few days and in one spot, I use a portable fold out solar flexible panel to top up the battery to keep the fridge happy. Same 100ah AGM and when that breaks, I'll upgrade it to lithium.
