Just saw these guys a couple weeks ago---I've seen lots of great bands over the years, but Them Dirty Roses put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Amazing live---band was so tight it was crazy, great show, great energy. We need to get these guys big---they have the talent in spades. Thanks for the great show---love every song you do and can't wait for the next releases! Keep rolling, boys!

Cringy lyrics. Corney, cliche. Booo! Why cant any of these bands write good lyrics?

Wanted to let you know that I appreciate your comment. Most of the time the comments are full of praise but I actually appreciate sincere respectful comments like yours. I always look at the views compared to thumbs up. For this song, that's not a good ratio which makes me think either people don't particularly like the song or if they do they're to lazy to click the thumbs up to show the band appreciation. I've actually asked in the comments when I see this lopsided ratio what it is they don't like. I sincerely wanna know & I'm sure the bands would like to know too. I'll give you this 👍. I'm in agreement with everything you said. A lot of writers use personal experience or life in general as a foundation to lyrics. Sometimes they write about their muse. Also think writers that are readers helps a lot & those that have a vast range of interests. The worst is the current state of so called Country Music. Many artists use those horrendous duos of designer songwriters on Music Row where everything sounds the same & the lyrics are shallow. For the writers of this song, I don't want to hurt. Hopefully, you'll view this critique as something good that's trying to help. I like this band. Keep going...

@@sweetsally1313 Thanks for the response as well. I am southern- by the grace of god, born/raised in New Orleans and a songwriter for over 40 years, mostly as a hobby these days but I know the craft. I love the music of this song and the title is great- Its brilliant but using Skynyrd as the very high bar they are and also any John Fogerty lyric- my heart wasnt touched. I want to hit play and be struck in the heart with a beautiful sentiment, unlike a lot of country today that is chock full of empty pandering. I respect these guys cuz in my very judgmental opinion- for my taste they almost hit it. I’ll keep a keen ear tuned in and hopefully I can look back and feel I was wrong. More power too them cuz they are really good- great in fact. Come guys- reach down and pull out some great stuff!
