The intent of the exercise is to quickly load the hamstring, in a hip hinge position, then shrug violently vertically, very much like a weighted jump. We are over loading the hang clean variation that he performs at the end of the video. For anyone with out a back ground in sports performance they confuse it with a standard controlled BB RDL... We also implement those in numerous variations... This exercise intent is to create force rapidly

This is how I first started learning to do power cleans. I started being able to do 145lbs for 1 and by my junior year of college I was able to power clean 275lbs. It took me 10 years of power cleaning to hit 315lbs. Technique is king. Took me 3 years to go from 315 to 355lbs.

That's awesome... Similar to myself... I was born pretty damn weak. Took me 3 years off oly lifting to clean 300... The journey is the reward 👊
