The real funda is you guys couldn't go further then music.. Bond went on an on why coz they made new songs 🎵 they didn't stick to thier title song though no.1 for 50 yrs they used it in limits an it's so well arranged that that 😉 music is forever 👌

If you think about it: just like Batman 1989 was the first big official comics adaptation where they racebent character casting drastically different actor, the original Mission Impossible 1 with Tom was the first "bring back classic character just make him shitty/kill him and prop up new character" the movie, originally Graves was supposed to reprise his role as Jim Phelps but instead Voight ended up playing it. Jim in old series was same main character as Ethan Hunt, except he was more like Benjie played by Simon Pegg instead of someone who constantly running around being peak human superhero guy that can do everything peak human. They brought him (back) in first movie and made him a traitor sellout. Only after MI1 came out Star Wars Sequels, Terminator 5 (kill John to make Sarah core character of franchise) and 6 (unmake Sarah to get a new character who will be as John-Sarah replacement for new generation), Logan, Pickard, James Bond No Time To Die kinda did it as well but also kinda not (its not clear whether the last result was just them chicken out or intended plan), Trainspotting 2, cancelled plans with DCEU where (people responsible for Josstice L, Shazam, The Flash as it ended up to be, etc) they planned to make female-led (Supergirl, Batgirl (until it was cancelled), Wonder Woman) Justice League, cancelled all-female Avengers plans that they kinda teased in Endgame and then kinda tried with She-Hulk, Black Panther Forever, Doctor Strange MoM and Marvels to test waters, the list will only go further from here. Only difference is back in the day they replaced old guy with a new guy and now they do same thing but with women or girls. But essentially it is the same thing ,especially if you were classic MI tv show fan before watching first film.

The original Mission: Impossible television series from the 60s was seen on MeTV and MeTV Plus television sub-channels. It was on in the evenings at 10 PM on weeknights on MeTV Plus, they changed the schedule to Sundays at 5 PM, and it was on MeTV, late at night at 2 AM or 3 AM on Monday.

Out of scale for complexity, depth, coherence, dialogue.
