Hi Cory, lovely video, as always! I love that life plan journal, it's going strong as a tracker for me, and I use a passport size common planner for planning. I won it on a giveaway!! Can you believe it? How lucky I am, really! I also use a DIY four-year journal, 2025 will be my last year in it. I will upgrade to something nicer after that, I absolutely love seeing the previous years' entries. I write a daily check-in every morning, answering 6 questions, I use random notebooks for that. And I still use the stickers you sent me - thank you so so much again for that generous package with all the goodies! Somehow those encouraged me to read more again! ❤ I just finished reading The Bell Jar from Sylvia Plath and I can't get over it. What a masterpiece! Highly recommend, 5 stars.

Writers blood has a purple undertone that really throws off the "Blood" vibe. I enjoy it a lot but I regret choosing it over ox blood.

I rather like that Desert Burst ink. Ive been looking for a usably dark brown, Ive tried a couple that looked great on my monitor but fell into the trap of choosing based on large colour swatches rather than writing samples and they came out far too light in use with a pen. Plus its Diamine, so you can try a small bottle for very little cost. I have too many large bottles of expensive ink that didn't live up to expectation on my shelf already!

Platinum uses pretty cheap metal hardware and those are rose gold plated, so it's probably not as sturdy as gold or palladium plated clips. There may be polishing cloths you can use, but once there are scratches on there, not much you can do about it, I think. For how expensive those shape of heart pens are, I really wished they employed self-polishing properties like Pelikan pens. I'm not sure if the clips of the pelikan pens are self-polishing, but the body resins are. Platinum needs to up their material quality!! XD

I have the Caffe Bronze in 1.1 stub. Currently inked with a blend of Colorverse Brunch Date and Diamine Cashmere Rose. But now that you and Karina both have this set, I definitely need the Crème with Rose Gold. I’ll either get the medium or broad. Broad is the only TWSBI size I don’t have. Will be nice for some light colored inks. I also want to buy the Lamy Cursive Nib, because I heard it’s similar to an Architect nib, and that’s one of my favorites. Then I need to take a pen break. For Christmas, I’m going to need a wooden pen case that fits about. 40-48 pens. 😂. Do you have any specialty type nibs? I recommend the Hongdian Longknife. It’s so fun. I just got one from Amazon. PS every time my husband hears your voice when I’m watching a video, he said “hey, that’s a Filipina!” (He’s from the Philippines). 🇵🇭

if they upgraded the plastic in the kakunos (it already is good eneough) or made a metal version, the whole community would get rid of many oens

These are so pretty! I have the ivory one and its so chic. I was eyeing the bronze one but I got a cream safari instead for the summer. I love the aesthetic of the soft creams and rose gold colors. My collection has so many colors it really doesn't have an ascetic. I suggest Ancient copper and a nice olive green color for the inks.

Maybe you can put in the bronze coffee color and in the cream green?. Love your twsbi. Now i want one also…❤😅

I was so excited to see a new video from you! Glad to hear you enjoyed some family time and took a well deserved break. I have been eyeing those mini pens from Jinhau. I might just got for it.

As to the Air Corp Blue/Black my ink is blue/black but with a strong teal color to it. Normally I’d guess you need to shake/agitate the ink to better mix the die materials in the ink. But if you’ve been using the bottle for a long time without shaking the bottle and a lot of the ink has been used up, you could just be writing with the leftover part of the ink that wasn’t mixed properly. Anyway, great to see you making and sharing these great KZfaq videos!

Hey Cory, the Jinhao 82s dry up really quickly. Plus I have to press really hard to get the ink out of the ones I have. Of course they are Fine and Extra Fine. But it shows, you get what you pay for.💜

My favourite is Robert Oster Caffe Crema, a nice golden brown

I now use Octopus Write & Draw ink Black Elephant as a waterproof permanent ink for writing on envelopes. It performs very good, basicly the same as the De Atramentis ink, I think, but when I ran out of black ink, the De Atramentis black ink will be on top of my list, based on your findings. Thanks!

Have you ever used the De Atramentis ink either brown or black with a pointed pen nib, for example a Nikko G and if so what type of paper have you used it on and what were your results in terms of flow, feathering, maintenance of thin lines and the ability to create swells or shadows in the lettering?

You should read up on the Noodler’s controversy. I threw out all my Noodler’s inks and will never buy any Noodler’s products again!

They are by far my most problematic fountain pens -- I have bought several Safaris over the years + the nibs always break down/dry up ... I really wanted to buy a LAMY 2000, but I don't want to waste my money on something that will probably give me problems in the medium term

Hi Cory. Though I have a Moonman Wancai mini too,I havent removed the nib. However, I have seen others on youtube who have removed the nib and replaced it with another type. So it can be done, but I'm unsure how to do it personally. Possibly google it? Or search a couple of fountain pen creators on here too. Hope that helps just a little and that you get it figured out. Sorry I'm still fairly new to this hobby 😊

how long did you wait for it to dry before you added water? It's not really helpful if we don't know how long you waiting before trying the water test.

Glad that you had so many pens that you had great experiences with for May. That last ink was a little strange. It's so faded. I wouldn't like it either.

I like your videos but I am not sure that the amount of ink left in your pens has any useful meaning.

I love this video. I bought a pilot prera m nib. There was no f nib. 😢i hope i have the same experience as you do because the pen is so lovely. I have four kaweco pen and for me that is more than enough pens with the pilot coming. Do you have a video how you wash your pens? ❤

I use a lot of Jinhaos. I find that my Jinhao 82s and 9019s don't dry out or hard start. I have had some inked for months.

Nice video, thank you. I agree on the Lamy 2000, my Pelikan is a blue striped M405 Souveran. I also include a Platinum 3776, a Montegrappa Team Fox, a pair of Lamy Studio pens with gold oblique nibs, and a Montblanc 24. Inks and paper can be easily replaced, but not my most precious pens!
