You just removed the dust cover, Get a brass fitting they only need to be finger tight to seal against the rubber seal. That’s a dumb move leaving it as you have.

Certainly better than the cylindrical shower pumps. The last one that I had from a reputable company ran out of water and within 10 seconds burnt out😢. Yep the light would be interesting.

Most other 490 town water is on the draw bar, just one thing, move your tank breathers from the rear as the movement of water in the tanks sucks water into the pipes as you drive in dusty conditions.
@DENMONKEYКүн бұрын
Cheers Mike. Yes the discussion that was had questioned if it was factory or not and seems locations can vary. I would have expected it to be at the front somewhere. My normal tank filll point is at the rear beside the spare tire. Cheers for the pointer on the breathers. They did have some filters in the end but they had clogged up so I pulled them out. It seems they're still not breathing though, as I'm still getting suction from the fill cap when opened. So that's on the list of things to do.
@mikefoster7085Күн бұрын
@DENMONKEY also check your dual battery wiring, they come out of the factory with a badly wired system, you will need to re wire them if it already hasn't been done, message me if you want clarification on this, especially if you are considering lithium.

Do the old fashioned electric hot plates run on a smooth power curve ? I need a low draw induction but if it keeps peaking every few seconds, that will trip the inverter.

I have a separate google email for all this registration of products, as well as, gaming bs. These companies end up selling your email to various phishing companies. You should get a separate email for registrations, makes life way easier and you feel happy you got one up on any that sell your info. I like how you experiment and how you explain things, at first I thought I would need a drink to understand any of it, but once you demonstrated it, eureka 💡, I didn’t feel so dumb after all. Not saying I’m not, but at least I didn’t feeellll it. 😂

Yo brother thanks for your very informative video. I bought a "spector" induction cooktop from ebay and that pos makes my 3k inverter shut down from the spikes! Just ordered this same model "tokit" from their website, $177 delivered (from China, I expect). Also, I was speaking with a sparky today at work and he reckons those on-off spikes are really reducing the life of your inverter, battery, switches and everything connected to the device. Seems like a no-brainer to pay the extra $120 or so to prolong the life of your far more expensive devices.

I envy your view!! Do you think a few finger sized sticks of river cane or bamboo could be easily lashed together to form a lightweight frame for this panel when camping? Rather than lashing, one could possibly fabricate some take-down fittings from PVC or EMT (It's what we call the thin walled electrical conduit in the US. Don't know what you fellas call it.) Cut short lengths of EMT, smash one end and pop rivet them together into Tees and Ells and Crosses to allow you to build a square with a few cross members. I think it could be done in a way that was fairly portable. What do you think? Would it still be too flimsy or not worth the effort?

Inverted the sump plate LOL wow. New Kaon plates look mint. Is anybody making the rear bar plates anymore? for protection against becoming a sand scoop?

its a garret tdx. with the tune as well, its a different car to drive. I do love having a go and the pajero is yet to not make it up anything I point it at. More flex would be nice but I'm confident in its abilities. I was thinking about hard pipes like yours too. you have beautiful scenery there

Hi Brett If the KAON's are lighter than the BOOS plates, does that mean they are thinner ans perhaps not as durable as the old ones?
@darrenc409621 күн бұрын
Apparently not. Due to the type of metal Kaon have used and their design they are light yet extremely tough. Many people have them in the Prado community and swear by them. 🍺
@4bnewb96921 күн бұрын
I think Some of the Kaon bash plates are made from StrenX, which has a higher yield strength than mild steel and is lighter. Not sure about the Pajero’s though

Were those 3mm or 4mm Boos? I've had 4mm Boos for a while and just ordered the RHS to save some weight and also hopefully get some better airflow to the intercooler... The Kaon ones look great and I nearly bought them...

Love the videos Brett. Quick question. Why didn't you drive 1 metre forward so you were under the carport and didn't get wet 😋
@tonygersbach37521 күн бұрын
Thinking maybe carport height is an issue when up on the ramps
@DENMONKEY21 күн бұрын
ah, I'm not as stupid as I look. It wouldnt fit under the carport once up on the ramps with the cb antenna on the front. I know...i looked :) so I could either get it under but not on the ramps or ramps and get wet. the water runs under the carport from the backyard anyway., so no winning really.

We know you love the Mud Brett, stop pretending you don't lmfao. Also you are more than a little bit different lmfao. Kaon ones do look pretty good, I thought about them but ended up going the BushSkinz as I like their looks more. Lucky you didn't snap any of those old bolts when removing them. I snapped one of mine holding the front plate on. Pain in the rear and meant I had to re-tap the damn holes. I do like that the Kaons are recessed into the plate rather than exposed bolt heads.
