My Panter did not like dubia roaches, But his favorite food is big grasshoppers aka Locusta sp.! He can take crickets, but the bigger Locusta sp. are his favorite food. I wish we had hornworms in Sweden but we dont.

Crickets have barbed legs and tougher shells. Only one species of crickets live in trees, do the Chameleons eat crickets in the wild? Just saying that they may not be good on the digestive tract for Chameleons.

are you still using this exact soil? i just bought it today and started using it, and JUST noticed it said for the garden only and not pots....should i stop using this now and get the organic potting mix in the purple and yellow bag??

I wanna thank you as you essentially saved my chameleon. I made mistakes of buying one from petco as i was ignorant and did not know 2 years ago. At first he lived in a small tank with red heat lamp and many incorrect things. Until I found your channel and he is still thriving to this day! if i didnt find your channel he would probably not be here.

My veiled male crawls on me soon as I open his top to put feeder cup in, he has vibrant colors,gaping his mouth crawling towards my face as I transport him to porch of plants... How does he fear me as he's crawling towards my face on me???I've had him & his sister since they were 10 days old, just turned a year old this month... I've never dropped them but jus moved into new place & he is persistent in coming out of terrarium every morning since the move... She doesn't care to come out, but has an insatiable appetite. Why is he fearful/defense mode while crawling on my arm towards my face???
@MotoG-tw4ko6 күн бұрын
Ps. He has no interest in feeding cup I put in as he crawls up my arm immediately when I open his top... His full interest seems to be on my face he's crawling towards as he gapes in beautiful bright spots & colors, scaring the mess outta me... But thankfully hasn't bitten me... He's always been very chill crawling on me from his enclosure... Until the past month with the move... & He did just turn a year old... Maybe puberty?

How long do feeder bugs last? You mentioned in another video that you only need to feed an adult a couple bugs every 2-3 days, but ive noticed most suppliers sell them in quantities of a couple dozen or more.
@NeptunetheChameleon10 күн бұрын
Depends on the bug! Dubia roaches and superworms will last for months. BSFL, silkworms, and wax worms will last for 2-2.5ish weeks and then hornworms last about 1-1.5 weeks.
