Agree with all these except diving kidneys. Sometimes you just can't get horizontal kidneys due to gas/ribs/other.

Can the CBD and the GDA also be viewed in the sagittal plane with the pancreatic head? or only in transverse? And can you see the portal triad in sagittal near pancreatic head?

Can you decipher some US image labels? Scrotal US Trans Left Testicle Mid Trans Left Testicle MED LT SW Trans Left Testicle Sup Trans Left Testicle Inf Long Left Testicle Lat Long Left Testicle Medial Does MED mean probe is pointing to or from Medial? Same with Sup, Lat, Inf? I know: MED = Medial Inf = Inferior Sup = Superior Lat = Lateral
@SonographyMinutes2 ай бұрын
Trans= transverse, also abbreviated TRV, the short-axis of the testicle Mid= middle of the testicle Med= medial, means the probe is angling towards the medial (inner side) portion of the testicle (towards medial, or midline portion of patient’s body) I have never seen the abbreviation “SW” in relation to a testicular exam, I am unsure of its meaning The label is always referring to the direction the probe is pointing towards Hope this helps! Sup= superior, means the probe is angling towards the superior (top) portion of the testicle (towards the patient’s head) Inf= inferior, means the probe is angling towards the inferior (bottom) portion of the patient’s testicle (towards the patient’s feet) Lat= lateral (means the probe is angling towards the lateral (outside edge) of the testicle (towards the patient’s outside of the body) Long= longitudinal, synonym for sagittal plane, the long-axis of the testicle

This just showed up for my mom after her lumpectomy and axilla surgery they asked for a biopsy
@XHPBT13 ай бұрын
I haven’t had a biopsy but I will be having a lumpectomy in three weeks. The MRI report said that it looks highly concerning for malignancy but could also be pash. Can pash look like a malignancy? My lump is loose moving, not attached and feels rubbery

I had an ultrasound performed on an enlarged inguinal lymph node. The tech just wrote that it was “reactive” in the report but, did not make any notes on its shape/appearance. The report says it is 1.83 cm and I have another node nearby that is .61 cm - I’m not sure what to think.
