I like the adapter, but $75? I think I'll stick to the universal adapter. "06 Tundra LTD AC here.

You had air being sucked into the system somewhere higher up in the line or lines. The volume of the entire brake line system shouldn't be more that the bottle filling it. Hence the time and sudden cut to a screen stating it took an hour. True evidence of success would have been showing the submerged tube no longer pushing air and volume was still increasing before closing the bleeder.🙂

The same thing happened to me with the wheel cylinders! It is my own fault, I should have looked closer, I ordered the right part# but they were boxed wrong so now I have to do it all over again, thanks for the tips.

Is clutch fluid the same thing as brake fluid? It’s been a long time since I had a manual transmission, and I don’t remember.

The wix xp filter is actually a extremely coarse media, about 40 or 50 micron. Unfortunately wix doesn't advertise the micron rating for any of the xp filters that I have searched. If they offer a xe filter for that number that is the tightest filter that wix offers. Usually 15 micron and they do advertise ratings on the standard filters and xe.

Thank you for making this video. I wish more people made videos like yours that show a more intelligent approach to replacing or repairing something. This video is the only one out of dozens I watched on this subject that demonstrated the intelligent use of tools. Every other video included beating the old parts out and they all used at least a little bit of tapping with hammers to most striking several hard blows with a hammer on their brand new part as well as their drive shaft. No wonder they all had issues with the universal joint not being quite as free moving as it should be. Thanks for showing us a better way!

I was going to suggest using amsoil ATF on the next service. Lubegard also makes ATF that should work for your box truck.

So, just diconnect the sway bar mount, remove driven side flange bolts, remove hub nut, and put it back on the ground. Sway bar link/bushings weren't removed? Didn't get 10k miles out of my refurbished one. Boot split.

Just completed this conversion, including filter housing gaskets (of course). Suggestion - plan to insert PTFE/CPE flex hose for at least lower housing inlet line. If you cut original lines at the extreme end of line (right before flare) you might be able to work it. Otherwise, you'll have issues with the short straights/bends. 1st cut didn't provide enough straight line section for fitting. Then cut line back to 2nd flat section (~1" further) and was able to get flare fitting on. But the line angle is not great and close to frame/transaxle. I consider this a workaround until I get a flex hose in there (which I had it to begin with).

I have owned my car for almost 10 years . I didn't know there was a capped end and open one. I didn't know there was an arrow for the direction. I didn't know about the notches, and when I opened mine ,I found the notches upside down, because the open end has flat side and a notch that is far from the end. THANK YOU VERY MUCH SIR.

You're changing the transmission fluid very early. It might say that in the scheduled maintenance. When I suggested changing my transmission fluid in my six speed manual to my mechanic. They suggested doing it at 100000 miles.

I also read Rat 540's stuff. I just bought a new Westinghouse 14,500 peak watt generator and just got finished breaking it in with Valvoline conventional 10w-30. I have the same jug (or two) purchased at a local WalMart and I'm gonna pick it up in a few hours. As far as my vehicles, I've been a Mobil 1 guy for that past 20 years but based on Rat's blog, I'm gonna give the QS oil a try as well.

Your fathers car wash. My dad got this stuff when i was a kid. I also would use it to wash the neighbors cars for a few bucks. I got this in a clearance bucket with other TW products. Yea at best its barely mediocre. It has very little lubricity, doesnt sud up all that great. It didnt do a good job on the glass either. I probably use the rest to clean the rims with it...C- would be my gade...
