i used to believe that our loved ones would go to heaven as soon as they died as well, but Jesus in the Bible said: eccl 9 5-6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. When Lazarus died Jesus said: John 11:11-14 'Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.' Then His disciples said, 'Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.' However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, 'Lazarus is dead.' Jesus says the dead really are dead. They are not yet in heaven, nor are they yet in hell. They are "asleep," awaiting the resurrection "at the last day."

Please forgive me Father and Son for coming up short. I ask for your mercy, your forgiveness and also your correction and discipline. Please set me straight, help me to see the fallacy of falling for the world's foolishness, and for following my old carnal desires! Correct and discipline me so that I learn like a child, and to do better for you Jesus! I wish to follow and obey you Lord for the rest of my days, and give you ALL of me even though its not enough. Help me Lord to keep all of me, inside and out, focused on you. And to not accept the poisons that are in this world now. In your name Jesus, amen!
