6:20 Two iconic towers come down and another one goes up just like that 💯

I went to this park as a teenager, about 6 years ago, before learning all the shitty stuff about the owners being crazy-ass religious fundamentalists. And I honestly, even then, I thought it was kinda mid :/ The shows were not bad per-say, but they all felt kinda messy and underwhelming. They consisted mostly in just a bunch of -exploited and underpaid- comedians running around wearing horrible costumes on a very impressive stages, occasionally delivering incredibly cheesy dialogues to try and tie it all in a light storyline. You could clearly tell that they were all doing their own little scripted routine (which I shouldn't be noticing) but scattered across the stage to make you feel like a lot is happening. I didn't really knew where to look at most of the time, while there was actually nothing much going on. All the shows rely on one "Wow Element" (such as the Viking ship coming out of lake or the moving castle tower) and everything around that is just filler. It was just very messy and lacked a feeling of a coherent whole. (and I can't stress enough how hideous several of these costumes looked.) And between these shows, the theming in the park is very light, when not downright inexistent, which was also rather disappointing. There are a few little villages scattered through, they were cute but nothing out of the ordinary for a European (except for the "An 1000" one which looked like a cheap historical re-enactment camp). But apart from that most of the park is just dirt road through a forest. Even though I usually enjoy a stroll through the woods, I usually prefer going to an actual forest near me for free instead of loosing 25 bucks to a far-right group for it. Because yes, I also have to address the elephant in the room: the ideology. I was 17 when I went there, totally oblivious of the park's history, and even then I was able to tell something was off. The park clearly had an agenda. Despite being advertised as a Historical Theme Park, all of the shows, were actually more about Catholic folklore (which wouldn't be a problem by itself if the park was being honest about it). the Historical depictions were full of weird choices and inaccuracies that even as high-schooler I was able to see; for example here are some of the things you can "learn" about History in this park: Johann of Arc won thanks to her magic spear given by Saint Michael himself, the Viking raids were stopped by a resurrected Saint walking on water, or (my favourite one) the Gauls wanted to become Christian, but the Romans disagreed (that one is wild if you know history a bit). Once I noticed that, the park overall had a strange vibe that didn't put me at ease. After my initial disappointment, I had a little bit uncomfortable visit. After this strange experience I went back home and did some research about it. That's when I find out that the park was created and is still owned by a far-right politician family, the DeVilliers. who are about the worst type of politicians you can imagine. They believe in the Great Replacement theory, the LGBT lobby coming for your children, all of the usual bullshit; they're anti-immigration, anti-Muslims, anti-Gay Rights, anti-feminist, anti-abortion, anti-vax... you name it, they got it. But it goes further than this, the DeVilliers are also Monarchists, they actually believe that we should abandon Democracy to go back to religious Monarchy. Which -to put it lightly, is something I disagree with- but explained the very negative and Manichean depiction of the Revolution is several of the attractions. And I also found a lot of articles and even columns written by many renowned historians that condemned this park. What the park is doing is not just strange artistic choices, it is downright historical revisionism to push on their disgusting political agenda, with a reactionary, ultra-nationalist vision of History centred only around Catholicism to an unsuspecting audience (since it is advertised as Historical Theme Park). There are also several rumours of animals being mistreated. I don't want to talk to much about it since they are mostly just rumours, even if they are coming from former park employees, there are quite a few of them, and I don't think the park has ever even denied them. So in a conclusion, I would not recommend going to this place (if this wasn't clear lmao). Although you probably won't have a bad day there, it's frankly not that great, and definitely not worth giving your money to these horrible people. If you want a unique French Theme Park, I would recommend Park Asterix or The Futuroscope instead.

I still like Disney World, but the end of free Airport transportation, Fast Pass, Extra Magic Hours, etc. really takes away some of the perks that really made Disney World appealing. On my last trip to Orlando-I spent most of my time at Universal (stayed there too) and only did two days at Disney. It was a great trip.

Great Video. You are so right about the themeing of the entire Amity area. My favorite theme park land ever for it's attention to detail.

Surely everyone who works and maintains all the ride would have been all throughout all the rides. They should have tried to get a job there. Looks like it’s what they love doing. Same people would have been fascinated with the ins and outs of the amusements. They are the type of people you want to employ

Yes. And the new DAS pass system is trash, and honestly gross. Horrid business practices, disqualifying disabled people who USED to qualify essentially forcing them to purchase Genie +. They don't care about the ADA, legality, liabilities, people, or their shortcomings. All corporate greed. Trash.

Disneys parks are enpier than ever! The magic kingdom is almost completely empty. You literally have no idea what your talking about. Disney is suffering from go woke go broke. It's not busy at all. It's expensive no one can even afford to go anymore. Google it this video is years too late.

Thank you for taking the time to do an in depth walk through of the parks' features. It looks like a wonderful place to visit. I would like to point out that Villiers' showing that Christianity was interwoven into the very fabric of everyday lives of citizens is not in the least political. It's the actual history. It is why thousands of citizens of the Vandee died. For they refused to accept the Revolutions' desire to substitute government, and eliminate God, as the Supreme head of all things. And, yes there have been many conversions throughout history of members of an invading army converting to Christianity, after learning what it truly is.

The Hat was in the wrong spot. It should have been placed in a more appropriate location like Toon Town or even more so, Fantasy Land. The only reason it ended up in MGM/Hollywood Studios was because that’s where there was space for it. The fact that the only attraction of the huge feature was a pin shop shows Disney hadn’t given much thought to it. If they really wanted it to be a permanent display then it should have been built in Fantasy Land, perhaps as a partial facade feature. It could have been just as high (sight lines), not taken up as much space (half as deep), and still contain a pin shop inside (revenue). 🤦🏻♂️

The literal adults who cared 25 years later about a building at a theme need therapy. Maybe talk to your parents about their divorce. Maybe realize you're a grown up. Disney adults are sad people and i feel genuine sadness in the pits of my stomach for anyone like this.

I have fond memories of the Mickey Sorcerer Hat - I thought it made for a great photo op on our visit when it was up. While the Chinese Theater does complete the look of the surrounding buildings in a more elegant way, I don't feel it's as memorable and it is not "Disney's," as it's a reproduction of an existing building. I feel the hat made for a stronger weenie and was completing the other three weenies well on marketing material. The Earfel Tower looked good in the distance, but unless I'm wrong, I don't think we could get photographed in front of it. As far as I'm concerned, the birthday castle was the biggest abomination (building-wise) that ever came out of the Imagineers' heads. I still can't believe that thing ever existed.

A theme park filled with a bunch of green screens everywhere would be pretty boring. Movies have no more practical effects so this pretty much makes the park experience of learning how movies are made watching someone edit greenscreen footage. Movies suck now anyways, I haven't watched anything I would consider great in decades.

All it takes is a KZfaq search for “Buzzy found” and one of the very first videos that comes up is a short clip from a podcast where an insider from Disney disclosures the fact that it was removed into archive and miscommunication within Disney caused for it to be reported as stolen when in reality Buzzy is sitting inside of Epcot to this very day . The video is five years old not sure how the creator of this video did not mention that podcast.

De villiers is not pushing for propaganda. He is pushing for nationalism. Being proud to be french and to have a rich history. People are fed up to hear all day long how europe is bad, how white people are bad etc... And technically, the french were the good guys in a lot of conflicts, including the 100 year war. Who invaded who ? Napoleon was the bad guy, but expecting france to be bad all the time is not historically accurate either. Also, de villiers is not a purely nationalist man. He opened a spanish puy du fou near madrid. And i am pretty sure it is all about celebrating spanish culture and history. The reality is everybody but whites are allowed to be proud to be who they are in 2024 and these park are a middle finger to the mainstream woke anti west propaganda.

The hat would make a better ride entrance to Mickey's Runaway Railroad. They should 'vs put a different ride in the Chinese Theater & put the hat & ride elsewhere as a pin trader & center focal point in front of Mickey's ride & part icon!

The cleanliness of the parks is a far cry from where it should be, the cast/employees are not as well trained and can be down right rude. The micro transactions of the park (parking/tickets/genie+). The theming has completely lost its way and their politics divides the majority of the population. The lack of good park design for crowd management is non existent. yes its getting worse.

I know this video is 6 months old, but I should also bring up that when it comes to Jaws ride videos, employees of the ride made a fan film called "THE JAWS RIDE MOVIE: The Real Story of Gordon on Amity 3" that retells the story of the events of the ride, showing Gordon and the ill-fated Amity 3, as well as the events of the ride from the home base and Brody. I recommend it if anyone wants to check it out.
