Differences between Porsche 996 GT3 MK1 and 996 GT3 MK2 ?...
@marcosvaldes89102 күн бұрын
As an owner of a Cayman 981S, I can attest to the beautiful sound the 981 makes. It is very telling that they need to make changes to the 718 exhaust to try to make it sound like the 981, but they can't. I would pick the 981 Spyder version and upgrade the radio to Apple Carplay.

Hi currently own a Gt3RS 992. Can you please explain to me why I was told not to buy the JCR titanium headers? I was told to install stainless steel from a different company and install the catback JCR titanium. The information I was giving was that the titanium JCR headers will not hold the heat.

Everyone knows the 981 reigns supreme with the exception for the 718 Spyder RS with that glorious cup car engine

I'd like to get this done but I'm in the USA? Is there any shop that can do this in Southern California?

Actually the GTS interior you describe was an option in Canada on the GTS. Odd as that seems. I ordered mine with a standard two tone leather interior so the differences were minimal. Some insignia and a sport wheel. Which I changed

991.2 looks absolutely beautiful compared to utter ugly 992.

I’ll take either one but I’m #2 on the list for a GTS 4.0 now. Hopefully I’ll get lucky.

Good vid gents!! Great comparison between the 2. .2 is prettier but 992 is more aggressive

Annoyed i didn't tune my GTS - so much potential on the turbo cars but the turbo's can have problems

Looks wise - the 991 is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! And also it came with the right color wheels.

I re mapped my 2021 Carrera ... stage 1 APR tune ... what really helped the tune ( and sound ) was a set of BMC air filters .... big difference.

Nice video. Thanks for posting. I have a 1977 2.7S and I am going through these exact tests at home at the moment because I have 'surging' during my warm up cycle and a slightly out of spec leak down test. Unfortunately, I don't have the 'old skool' Bosch testing devices though. Looks like I will need a WUR and Fuel Distributor Rebuild/Calibration. I am happy to see that I have the basic understanding required to carry out these tests but it's always great when you see the experts at work. Maybe Chris could do a question and answers session? I reckon I could bend his ear for hours about the old Porsche CIS! 🙂

Thank God, we are seeing a back peddling on the moronic race to zero emissions. Hopefully the industry will be able to move back once the wokeness era politicians are replaced with logical pragmatic thinking. It’s a long argument, but the reason I say that is the 991.2 may become 912’s of our generation. Eliminate the decimal and we go from 991.2 to 9912. 😂 I’m a believer in there is no replacement for displacement. So once all this happy clown 🤡 stuff rinses down the drain, Porsche will return to displacement and what they learned from the forced downsizing will be quantum.

I know why I salivate over these struts and coils and ground effects that the dam car really needs on the track, and tracks are rough in a few places, most owners don't abuse their cars on the track that often, and that helps these add ons to last a couple of years for peak performance. @IMSA. @TeamRedlineSim @goonzquadtube @emeliahartford0

Why wouldn't the affluent buyer simply opt for a GT2 RS?
@pierremono76733 ай бұрын
Could be two reasons: 1. The GT2RS 992 doesn’t exist yet 2. Once it comes out, I suspect getting your hands on one will be as hard as GT3 RS. So upgrading a more readily available GT3 actually doesn’t sound so silly.

The most important thing for this Manthey Performance kit, the new calibration of the GT3 suspension isn't in this video. This is quite poor, dude.

Personally, I'd rather a curated collection of the best examples of each generational evolutionary step of the 911 from the air cooled era of the 2.7RS, the genisis of the turbo s with G series turbo, a 993 GT2 from the last of the air cooled era, a 996 GT3, a 997 GT2, and a 992 GT3 RS just because it's insane So then, it'd be a rolling museum of the evolution of the Porsche 911, and you could experience this evolutionary process and enjoy the ballistic improvement of pace and enjoy the journey it took Porsche's engineers 60 years to achieve in a single track day Then, you could repeat the process of getting to experience this relentless pursuit of perfection in the generational increments every time you visit a different race track Because if I'm honest? If I saw that transporter in the video with those 6 cars on the back of it? Frankly I'd just assume that it was en route to a dealership for those cars to end up on a forecourt somewhere and probably not even give it a second look But, I'd remember seeing a truck carrying some of, if not the greatest hits, of the 911 on its way to or from Silverstone

The canards are attached with sticky tape? 😂 fine for looks, but that doesn’t do anything meaningful for downforce.
@nikspartan3 ай бұрын
Not for direct downforce but more for directing the air above the front wheel.

Obviously never heard of Psa adhesion. That "sticky tape" is very strong.
