What? I’ve never had this encounter. How do you trigger it?

I love this character so much. Not to trauma dump or anything. One of my friends, who’s my cousin, was harrassed and we would play this game together, when she had a hard time and needed some friendly comfort from me (she’s incredibly invested in this game, in a very cute way). She told me how deeply she related to Astarion, this deep rage in him, that she could relate to - that she hadnt seen in any other kind of representation, which she could relate to so deeply. This character really helped her accept her rage and accept that she didn’t do anything wrong, that it wasn’t her fault. I am so immensely proud of her. I am incredibly grateful for the team behind this game and Neil Newbon himself, for creating and giving this character life of his own. Thank you❤️ We both wouldn’t be where we are today without this character. Thank you. I truly love him (Astarion), this beautifully cradled character that is so incredibly relatable in the most human of ways. 🥰❤️

either set the vampire spawn free and be responsible for the deaths of people who could fall victim to them, or leave them to die and be responsible for the death of 7000 spawn. its like a glorified trolley problem

After seeing what the Hunger makes Astarion do, ending all the Spawn seemed like a merciful fate. Releasing 7000 hungry vampire spawn onto Balders Gate is setting the stage for mass-murder. Picture thousands of slaughtered innocents - each one cursing you with their dying breath !

I only free them for Astarion's sake, otherwise I think killing them is the best option for everyone. Killing them will release them from that cursed "life", give the Gur closure and protect the shadow coast from thousands of vampire spawn.

I would say it’s difficult because you’re releasing thousands of blood starved vampires the carnage they could cause would be on your head but on the other hand they deserve a chance just like to Astarion to be better to not be conquered by the hunger they have overall it’s a difficult decision

It's interesting, this scene is why I felt justified in releasing them. They both thank you for giving them a chance and Gandrel plans to take blood from animals to sustain them. I understand why other players destroy them but I don't think it's the only option.

Vampire are undead right. As in like they can never grow anymore. So they are stuck like that... Twilight have the same situation with the whole Immortal Child things.

Does anybody? Know why this happens. I had it happened to me and my relationship with his character is labeled as excellent so I don't know why he broke up with me.

This ending is just wrong. If you kill the head vampire it should cure the spawns

I got this dialogue in my first playthrough ACCIDENTALLY and had to backtrack 10 hours of progress all the way in Act II to fix it

i never got this scene, but i wanted to strangle him each time he kept chiming in to not forget to kill the guy-- while i am trying to activly manipulate the dude to just do that very thing himself!! I'm like-- trust me damn it! Shadowheart was like damn, that was impressive & scary, but astarian is like finally! it was so satisfying to make him say thank you, cause this man had me on edge while i'm trying to use my rolls so we don't have to waste potions!! i'm like i get it, but trust me damn it, have you not seen me in action before?! we did a thing with the gur & others, don't f this up!!
