Thank you! I seem to always forget how to pick up the stitches. I saves this video for the next Tim I work on my blanket.

It’s much better if you weave in your ends as soon as you finish a block. I know it feels like a pain but I would never be able to sew them all in at once.
@differenttakethanmostКүн бұрын
These are adorable. For future reference, instead of covering up the heart or having a tiny piece on the front, that pc of felt could have been cut in half for one piece above and another below (two full closures) = front image not covered. Or a wrap around ribbon closure wd have worked too. Sometimes we get so set on what we have in mind we don’t consider other options.
@ALivelyHopeКүн бұрын
I love those ideas! Yes, I agree that I was probably too set on what I originally envisioned for this project that I didn't consider other options. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

May I suggest quilting it with fan or concentric circles? That would give the effect of rippling water. Beautiful quilt, thank you for sharing.

I just discovered your channel. How cool-love your work. I have tried cutting felt but with terrible results (not clean cut like yours). Can you offer suggestions on what kind of felt and weight to buy? Do you have a favorite link to share? If so, thank you very much.

Thank you! I prefer to use wool or wool blend felt. Sharp scissors are very helpful as well! I love the colors and quality of the felt from Benzie Designs brand: www.amazon.com/stores/BenzieDesign/Homepage/page/7BE05895-25EF-44F2-8BC6-2E6DBAF7BBA7?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_ast_store_E0CQS04XE03S4E9Z902S

where did you get the text that you water colored over? I've checked out your other videos and can't find it. I have horrible print/lettering skills! Did you print from your printer and transfer like you show on another video? Where did you find the fancy text to print it from your printer if that's how you did it?

I just hand lettered the text in pencil and then went over it with watercolor 💕

I just finished to watch your video for the second time. I was always wondering what junk journals are for. And I think, now I know. Your journal touched my soul. Gave me a warm feeling. Soothed my depressive feelings. I am wondering what the process of working in such a journal does to a person. Should I just try? Maybe yes. Your video is a great inspiration. Thank you for making and sharing it. With best wishes from Germany, Jutta

You should absolutely try it! Working in a journal like this has a lot of benefits. It always lifts my mood to make some art, even if I only have a few minutes. It brings me a lot of peace and happiness.

I ordered this kit! It’s my very first embroidery project, and I’m a little unclear/confused about the strands. I received five strands of black. The instructions say to use three of those for the quote and then just one for the name. I’m just confused as to why I have five strands then? And I’m worried that using three strands for the quote isn’t going to last for the whole quote? 😅 Why are there two strands left then for the short title of the book if I need only one? I’m just sort of paralyzed about starting since I have these questions.
@andreacavanaugh90466 ай бұрын
Or am I supposed to be dividing each thicker strand into individual strands and using three of those for the quote? I was confused about what “strand” means.
@ALivelyHope6 ай бұрын
Yes, you divide the thread. So the thread has 6 strands and you'll divide that in half and use 3 at a time. I hope that makes sense!

This is lovely and such a great technique! I have a very old blue hardback copy of the Book of Mormon that has beautiful color pictures in it, that was given to me when I first joined the church. I will always cherish it. There are children’s scriptures with pictures in them put out by DB to help children learn visually. Also beautiful scripture stickers! Anything that helps us learn & remember what we read in our scriptures is a wonderful thing, so I don’t understand why anyone would make negative comments about artwork in our scriptures. You keep on doing what you’re doing! ❤
