I was glad that Sgt Lopashanski made the comment about navigating with a cell phone. So many people navigate hiking trails with a cell phone and apps like AllTrails. Anyone who I see using that I tell them to stop. I was doing the pemi loop and someone I hiked the trail with by chance some of the way was using that. I told he really needs to use a paper map. He was baffled to learn that AllTrails is innaccurate and that his planned hike was going to be an extra 5 miles. I used to do the same. My friend, and accomplished hiker, gave me the best advice I ever got: Stop using your cell phone and learn to read a map.

Groove: Requiem in the Key of Ski, and Blizzard of Ahhs very accurately invoke the whole scene I witnessed as a young adult. Jackson Hole was a vast, virtually unknown playground. Went through many Tram ticketbooks. Stick the ticket between your skis for the attendant. Beat the Tram back down, get on the same cab again. Rinse and repeat. 50k vert a day was the goal. Hostelx one of the only lodges in T Village. Now, I have 2 artificial hips and a trove of great experiences lol. Thanks, Greg, for bringing all the stunning sequences and images!

This video should have got way more views. Living in the mt. Washington valley and having all these trails around is awesome! I live in Conway and ride right out my back door on to a multi use trail and I mean no road it's right there. I can remember as a kid riding over from Hurricane MT. to Cranmore Mt (ok we walked part of the way it more like a hiking trail back then 😁). I need to go up there check it out. Keep the pedals turning!

This man had a goal and achieved it, that in itself is admirable, as for the detractors here, not impressed, where are the mountains... etc. if you've nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.

If they care about this so much, why not just put it back? The rocks that made it up are still there. They weren't pulverized to powder. The bolders are mostly there at the bottom of the cliff. Just stick them together with grout and Portland cement and stick it back where it was. Problem solved. Now, okay, there might be some need to supplement it with additional support, but cementing broken rocks back together is not some kind of insurmountable engineering challenge.
