Thank you for this. I just learned about the f-14 computer two weeks ago. Amazing how much more advanced it was than the CPU offerings from Intel, MOS, Zilog, etc. Consumers wouldn't see chips that powerful for another 15+ years!

I have a 2200. Model 2200-108/141.

I was a tech for Datapoint UK back in the day and worked on the 2200 which was a main component of the British Rail TOPS system for freight management. Apart from occasional faults with the cassette deck the most common fault was the switched mode power supply. Later I also worked on the 6600 which was part of the UK Ford dealer network. Ford mandated the system if dealers wanted warranty claims honoured!

That is a fascinating machine! Literally a predecessor to the 8008! Amazing.

It is a good tuner. I can use it to tune a T2LT antenna for the 11 meter band, to work on 10, 12, 15 and 17 meters band, and on a part of the 20 meters band. Does the job with the poor antenna.

Before you buy junk like this for more than $40... take a look inside a high quality manual tuner made by heathkit, yaessu, or kemwood. Divide rated power of MFJ by 3 to 5 ..and that is what the components and wires sizes should be spec'd for. You can buy a true 500 watt rated tuner used for less than new cost of this stuff.

Adequate for 1500 W PEP or CW. Do not let that model number fool you.
