Lateral plank it’s good exercise for whole lateral system including QL almost local & global stabilizar muscles working over that , lateral planks with variations UL & LL loading increases thresholds of muscles

If you could share insight on this, I'd appreciate it. This is regarding a posterior to anterior technique on the knee, while patient is laying on their back with knee bent as seen in this video. PT puts fingers behind the knee, pulling toward themselves while patient bends knee and then straightens again. My curiosity is... I had a knee injury and when my physical therapist does this while I am on my back, it is the only way I can bend my knee deeply without pain. The pain is so intense if I try to do it on my own that I can't. The MRI failed to show why (only showed unrelated previous minor things that never limited or really affected me at all). I've become quite disabled after this injury. When my PT does this technique, I pull against his hands/force to bend my knee, and then straighten again. Please, if someone can tell me, are there any other damages that this technique would 'bypass' or allow the bending of other than meniscus tears? If the patella is maltracking due to a ligament tear or something, would this technique also work for that by supporting the knee or something?

I have pain/ soreness in my knuckle portion and the straight joint part just below it. I am a spin bowler and I have to bend and put pressure on my fingers to turn the ball. I can’t grip the ball anymore neither can turn it. Affecting my performance drastically. Can you suggest me any exercises to recover from this and also to strengthen my finger joints. Thankyou.

Hey man, 2nd year OTD student here. If you haven't tried yet, you should slowly flex and extend your MCP joints just like in the video, but you can also use a resistance band and practice resisting it. Hold the band with both hands, and practice supinating and pronating (basically just resist with your palms up and down). Your pronator quadratus and supinator muscles may also be strained, reading from how you have trouble turning the ball and rotating. It would work greatly for you if you try to strengthen them, but only after you have properly rested and made sure you also don't have any inflammation. If you still have these symptoms after all this time, please do check out a physiotherapist or a certified hand therapist to keep doing what you enjoy.

Hi, every time I do hip internal rotation exercises, I gain a lot of range of motion straight after I've done the exercises, but all my gains are lost when I re-test myself later on in the day. I've been told that not pronating correctly with the feet can cause this, but is there any other reason to do with the feet or tibia which can cause me to lose my gains? Thanks for your help!

Wrong demo...you are not blocking ankle joint movement .Flex knee to relax gastrocnemius Fix tibio talar joint Dorsiflex to block ankle movement Then do inversion n eversion

Is it right that unla glide is happen with radial deviation?

Yes, because of the convex concave role as you see the convex proximal carpals are moving on the concave distal radius so the sliding is opposite to the glide. So to increase the radial deviation, you have to do ulnar glide.
