Bro this is an amazing trick tip and thanks for putting in the time to explain it as much as possible, 1 question, do you only turn your hips when getting into it or your whole body ? And when you say too look at your back foot, do you mean look at your heel or toes? Thanks again ❤
@hideaki_n2 ай бұрын
youre welcome! hope it helps! my shoulders stay parallel/back against the ledge/rail,etc. i do my best to not turn my shoulders at all. like what you said, my hips mostly turn. when looking at the back foot i'd say it's more the middle of the foot. i think as long as you're able to look down and be comfortable you'll get used to it. Sometimes i'm looking at the middle of the board. As you get better and better your muscle memory kicks in and youre able to get into the ledge/rail every time and you just look down at your board so that you can stay on longer, etc

thanks mate, got into 2 last week that slid, but my heart goes into my mouth so much, so scary at first, need to overcome that fear@@hideaki_n
@hideaki_n2 ай бұрын
@@joshb9657yea I would start slow and on a low ledge. Make sure it's not slippery starting off so you can practice fully committing getting on but not sliding. Getting on is the tricky part but once you start getting comfortable getting on you'll slide and roll away real soon 👍🏼👍🏼

I haven’t hit any big rails in a while because the last time that I did I sacked one really bad and now every time I ride up to one I think about that. The crazy part is that I’ve hit that same rail several times and it just happened to go wrong that day. Since then I’ve been learning new tricks and I’m thinking maybe I’ll try something else down it to hopefully break this mental barrier. Skating down rails that aren’t sackable is the only ones that I’ll do anymore, I’ll actually do the “sackable check” to make sure 😅. Great video though, this all makes a ton of sense. Flip in front board though! 👀 🔥

That's awesome!! Yea so far, the PGYTECH backpack doesn't have the best hip strap support. My REI backpack was soooo much better carry so much stuff and my back and shoulder felt no pain. Unconventional to take camera gear out the REI backpack though. Very convenient to take stuff out this PGYTECH bag

Heading to Japan for 6 weeks end of May cannot freaking wait!! We usually go every year but since covid canned it. My pack of choice GORUCK GR1 21L slick full 1000D!! Camera A7C II w/ 24-70mmFf2.8 GM II 👌 camera in a moment 4L camera insert. The GR1 21L is big enough to carry most things with just enough room to pick up a few 'things' along the way but also packs slim enough and great in crowds and train etc etc. Nice Vid brother

Your "spin test" assessment is not valid. I've been riding Bones Swiss since the early 90s. A new bearing is greased/lubed and does not spin more than a few seconds, it will spin a bit longer when mounted in a wheel due to centrifugal forces. This is true for bearings no matter the quality. Lube is better for the longevity of the bearing, makes it silent and wil spin just as well under load/weight of the rider. A bearing that is cleaned of the lube will spin longer when spinning it between your fingers and when mounted on a truck with the wheel - however, it will not spin faster or roll better than a lubed bearing under load. Many skaters remove the lube and pop the seal to hear the bearing, not to make it spin faster (because it won't). I bought a fake set from China out of curiosity ($12), I already have various sets of genuine Bones Bearings, including Swiss, Ceramicas and the basic Reds etc. The tactile feel of the fake bearings (including spin) seems fine right out of the box - but it will be interesting to see how they will hold up over time. The box of my fakes ones have some of the signs mentioned in this video and other videoes like this (more of an orange color and lacking the holographic sticker, it does say 1981 though).
@hideaki_n5 ай бұрын
Fake ones don't go as fast as the real ones and the when you're riding, you give 2 good pushes you'll slow down soon compared to a real set. I'm talking about straight out the box for both. Over time (without adding lubricant) it's even worse for the fake set. Need to constantly be pushing. For the real set if you give 2-3 good pushes you'll be riding for a lot longer than the fake ones for sure

Twin tails are the best but I’ve been off in on skating them, I normally skate them and I found a twin tail at the skatepark and snapped it I got really upset when I did that and it was my size . You caught my attention when you said you dislocated your shoulder and it still hurts when you do curtains trick. I dislocated my shoulder like two months ago didn’t feel good had to skate mellow and had to stop doing curtains tricks because of it. Heel up soon.

I have an old set I got from a friend that I’ve kept clean and lubed and they still work great. I have the box still and it just says “preferred by pros” as the first claim. Is that because it might be from before 2008? Also the box doesn’t have a barcode.
