Is it not possible that God used a meteorite to punish Sodom and Gommorah? When Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible through the Holy Spirit, Moses did not know what a meteorite was in the same way we do today with modern science, so in my opinion this only gives further credit to the story's reliability, I'm very interested on your opinion about this.

Abraham failed in the first offering, so he had to offer something greater. That would be his loving son. Because Isaac wanted his father to fulfill the offering, he offered himself willfully. That was Isaac's victory. If Isaac ran away, the entire offering, and the future of the providence, would have been delayed even longer. Jacob was honest from the start and asked for Rachel. So why punish Rachel to be barren and then die? It wasn’t her fault.
