Use a drag scale. Even some deckhands tend to set too loose imo. Set it with a scale and know you can pull as hard as you want which saves time, energy, and ultimately fish.

Good video, way to many people growding in one spot. You said 40+ on that head boat? We only allowed max 26 for tuna, same size boat. Over here on the north east coast, you dont walk on the boat with any line rated under 65 lbs, 80lbs is the norm, rods rated 65- 100 lbs+. Because our normal size tuna are the 60-100+ lbs sizes. Only here we are allowed 1 bluefin tuna of a large size per boat, 3 yellowfin tuna per person.

That there is the Lone Pine Sandtrap (Lone Pine Creek feeds that sandtrap) - George's Creek Sandtrap is about 15mins north of that location

Thanks for posting. Jim and i met in the early 80’s selling Toyota’s at Hightower Toyota in la Crescenta. We remained close friends until 2003. I left for Florida in 03 and we lost contact for awhile. We did fish quite a bit. Heard his brother Danny and mom passed away too. Thx for posting this.
