I installed mechapwn on psx7700, but when i inserted a pal game, there is no image, only sound , is there a different version mechapwn for different psx models?

I’m pretty new to the mod scene so I apologise in advance if this is a stupid question. Is there a way to get the PSX to boot games from a SD card or Hard drive etc. I know it’s possible for PS2 using MX4SIO but I can’t find anything on compatibility with the PSX. It also doesn’t help the some people call the original PlayStation the PSX 😂😂 Any advice appreciated please?

upgrades on (what is now considered) a retro console is amazing! I wonder how far we can go.. I know the net yaroze ps1 had 16 mbs of ram, unlike the regular consumer ps1 that had 8, I wonder if a ram upgrade and perhaps (spitballing, its easier said than done, specially how they are not as easy to get anymore) some sort of overclock, maybe we could get some notorious games running smoother! edit: it was actually 2 mbs mirrored 4 times, so not exactly full 8 mbs

I haven't watched all 1.6 ram upgrade vids (so I'm not trying to come across as ignorant). But why not use a ruler or any straight edge to push down the pins after soldering the corners? You recommended against doing so, but curious what your experience was?

Okay If you did a RBG bypass mod, I believe you can get a converter for RBG component to YELLOW RED WHITE compose it , which would actually help somebody to play on composite audio video? I do Believe they have adapters for that so it would be uhhhh win win situation..

Nice build! I'm curious how come your Xbox4gamers loads up that huge library so fast. I'm using a Startech adapter w/ upgraded IDE cable, 4tb hdd, and Cerbios udma5 version and it takes forever to load through all my games. They're in cci format though, not hdd ready. Anyway, awesome work.
