The closest Jeff Gordon ever won his birthday. He turned 42 years old that day while also making his 42nd Pocono start. To lose that race like that is without question extremely heartbreaking 💔

On which network was this broadcast at the time, and who was the head announcer? It doesn't sound like Allen Bestwick, but I can't place the voice. Very similar to Dale Jarrett. Love the enthusiasm!

There's literally a TNT logo on the upper right corner of the screen for 2 and a half hours, man... The lead announcer was Adam Alexander. Kyle Petty and Wally Dallenbach were with him in the booth.

I think Toyota needs to get out of nascar. It's an American sport. Not an International sport. It offends me to no end to see America losing all it's inner strength for the foreigners in America when they really don't care about America at all.

@@Tylnorton On a technicality standpoint NASCAR corrected later, Jimmie DIDN'T jump the restart. Montoya spun the tires as he got going inside the restart box and Jimmie passed him. At the time NASCAR deemed it illegal, then modified the rule so instances like that give the benefit of the doubt to the 2nd place driver.
