Didnt give any information about the difference between brushless and fuel at all.
@OhioPowerTool4 күн бұрын
Here is a link to our blog that goes even further into depth about the difference between brushless and FUEL. (news.ohiopowertool.com/milwaukee-m18-fuel-vs-brushless-vs-brushed-motors-how-do-they-compare/) To put it simply both are brushless motors but FUEL added more power and features as it was a line for individuals that needed more power out of their tools. Regular brushless tools are for those who may not need all of the extra power and additional add-ons (like Redlink PLUS for example). Milwaukee wanted to keep an affordable line for those who needed it but they also wanted to keep growing and provide more power with upgraded specs to original models. Hopefully, this helps!

This has fixed absolutely nothing while adding labels on top of old labels. Get rid of all these names. Just put a honest to goodness Professional chrome badge on any tool and battery that is built to take a beating and give it a little longer warranty coverage. All batteries need a simple label that says the Amp Hour “Capacity”, Peak Wattage “Performance”, and if it’s a pack or cell. All batteries should have Bluetooth as a standard feature with how much they’re asking.

Nope, still confused. Where’s flexvolt in this picture? Is power pack just a new battery with 21700 cells? Which battery name are they discontinuing ?
@ns_racing7 күн бұрын
The new battery is tabless 21700 cells. Suppose to deliver more power and runtime
@OhioPowerTool7 күн бұрын
Not a problem, why we are here. Flexvolt which is running at 60V MAX is still top dog. If same tools are available in 20V XR and 60V FlexVolt then the 60V should always be more powerful, such as 5" grinders and recip saws. Some of the bigger tools that require more power are only going to be available in 60V such as larger SDS-Max hammers or 9" concrete saw DCS692. The FlexVolt line bridges the 20V tools with the larger equipment coming with PowerShift so we expect them to go heavier on FlexVolt if anything. Yes. XR PowerPack will be newer tabless 21700 cells. Many of the "current XR batteries" will actually drop the XR name and just be standard 20V Max. Technically the PowerStack is just going to XR PowerStack (with the PowerStack name will be much smaller)... So yeah still a little muddy and not dropping any names in battery lineup.

If you’re paid hourly doesn’t matter how long it takes…..the phrase “time is money” works for everyone no matter your ranking in the trade. The upper management might make more if the job is done quicker but the person doing the physical work(assuming you’re paid hourly) makes more money with more time…….but anyways that’s still a awesome tool! I’m a residential hvac installer so I won’t ever have a need for that big of pipe threader.

So I'm lost. Will these new powerpack batteries provide the additional power for the Flexvolt/Advantage tools that the Flexvolt batteries do today? Yes or No?
@landonfilms86609 күн бұрын
Yes, They will provide additional power for the current flex-volt advantage and power detect but will not work on 60v flex volt tools.
@rosedoggydog9 күн бұрын
@@landonfilms8660 hmm.. Now we'll have to see a comparision video between flexvolt batteries vs powerpack in flexvolt adavantage tools. A 8ah Powerpack vs a 9ah Flexvolt 20/60. Unless DW plans on making the batteries in a 6ah, this is the closest comparrision we'll get. I doubt they'll make a 6ah PP (I could be wrong) because their Power Detect lineup needs the 8ah XR currently to do its thing. Either way at we'll now be able to get Lowes and Home Depot to price match either now.

XR tool will perform very similar with current PowerStack and FlexVolt as with new XR batteries in the field. There will be small incremental changes but probably not enough to notice. The big push here is to clean up the branding names. Tabless batteries for XR will last longer and charge faster and overall the way to go for next battery purchase but similar peak watt performance to other premium batteries out now.

Is Dewalt coming out with a cordless 8 1/2 inch miter saw or a cordless 10 inch miter saw in the very near future I would really like to know please?
@OhioPowerTool9 күн бұрын
Dewalt does love their 12" Miter Saws. No word on a cordless 10", jumps right from the 7-1/4" 20V to 12" 60V. Would also be shocked is they did a cordless 8-1/2" before a 10" miter saw but crazier things happen.
@Sgten019 күн бұрын
where does flexvolt fit in ?
@OhioPowerTool9 күн бұрын
The 60V FlexVolt tools will remain unchanged and will (for the most part) always be more powerful than the 20V MAX XR tools. There could be a small time period where an 20V XR tools edges out a 60V (say a saw or grinder) but that would just mean a newer FlexVolt is coming really soon and tech has probably in that category has improved rapidly. The FlexVolt tools are all about maximum power, more likely to be larger, heavier and likely more expensive. Where the 20V Max Tools with XR batteries can match standard corded tools, we are now getting into a realm where 60V FlexVolt tools and certainly new 60V PowerShift Tools are going to be able to outperform what is possible from anything 120V corded.

Id like to see a new battery line between the m18 and mx. Like the size of an ego or greenworks battery so Milwaukee would quit using those dual battery setups. And have a handheld blower that has 1000 cfm
@OhioPowerTool9 күн бұрын
They'd probably never pay the royalties to Dewalt for use of the FlexVolt tech or to Metabo HPT for their MultiVolt but it is possible and could happen. Then they would be able to build similar batteries that work on all the existing M18 tools but could also power new ones on the new platform M36 or M54 (or M40 MAX or M60 MAX). On the handheld blowers not going to have much luck getting past 800 CFM, too much force it actually causes pretty bad wrist strain, that's why EGO stopped where they did in 700s. Maybe if someone reconfigure the units to strap/support off the forearm with a handle like a back pack blower it might be possible.
