It's really annoying me that this cover art doesn't have the Doctor Who logo in the centre.

James Goss is one of my favourite Big Finish writers, it really sucks that his work on this will just not see the light of the day. It also sucks that there is an unheard David Tennant performance as the Tenth Doctor, just sitting on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere. The same applies for Gareth David-Lloyd and the rest of the cast. Art shouldnt be hidden away because of the actions of one person. Big Finish should separate art from the artist and just release the thing already.

Any reason to trailer a 5 year old audio?
@fuccasound389727 күн бұрын
Big Finish always manage to give their productions the feel of the Era in which the original was made. That line, releasing an energy that will destroy the Earth's (slight pause) solar system and played with that Hartnell gravitas - brilliant! You can't do line's like that in the new slick world of sci-fi!

It's good that Dodo is being used again; just a shame that Jackie Lane never agreed to come back before she died.

Creative stories that play the absence of images in audio dramas are always the absolute best Big Finish do. I can't fathom how you could represent it visually without taking away to the core content of this story. I also enjoy the dark metaphysical fairy story the Doctor recites to bookend each episode. I wish Rob Shearman did a few more stories with Big Finish. His wonderful, absurd writing marries perfectly to Doctor Who's fantastic and bonkers world.

Jacob's impressions of 10,11,9, and 4 are spot on (check out his Doctor Who poem video if you haven't) but tbh I don't think he does Capaldi very well.

Should thank Big Finish for helping Gabriel Woolf get some practice over the last few years (I did think he was brilliant in the final 2 episodes of 'Season One'). Yeah, might get this one.

It could be the BBC not wanting Barrowman involved with anything Doctor Who related. In which case, Big Finish has to follow their directive and not release anything with him in it.
@JFSebastian-j3mАй бұрын
He was reprimanded at the time and apologised at the time and both those things were public knowledge at the time. What more can Barrowman do?
@jackskellingtonsoraАй бұрын
@@JFSebastian-j3m I don't think he can do anything unfortunately. I think the BBC has probably blacklisted him.
@JFSebastian-j3mАй бұрын
@@jackskellingtonsora it's ridiculous. I'm hoping eventually it dies down and they let him come back. He's going on tour now so hopefully this allows everyone to move on

So this is the story how Ace left? Explained in the power of the Doctor?
@EditedAF9872 ай бұрын
Not really. Ace rejoins the Doctor and Bernice in a later novel called ‘Deceit,’ and then leaves again for real in the novel ‘Set Piece.’ I believe her ending in that novel somewhat contradicts the version we meet in Power of the Doctor.
