How about Maam i have scoliosis so i can't do perfect way i can't totally rest my back in the wall..thanks
@ivanribnikov2001Күн бұрын
You could probably start with whatever point of contact from your back you can, just putting your back against the wall and practicing the motion until you can eventually rest other parts of your back. This is a very proprioceptive exercise that involves the shifting, strengthening and stretching of muscle fibers, and it's not easy at all even for people without scoliosis, so don't get frustrated if you don't see immediate results. Given that you have scoliosis, even if you don't see any results at all for months I wouldn't be discouraged, since you're starting off from a different point than other people. Obviously I'm just a random internet person and not a licensed physician, so take everything with a grain of salt and stop if you feel any sort of pain since you could be compressing a disc. What works for me is to try to rest my lower back on the wall, even if the upper back remains somewhat slouched and detached from it, bracing my core and doing the raises. If performed properly, I feel my upper back, neck and shoulders start to align backwards. My ex had spinal fusion and found this exercise helpful. Best of luck.

So basically, walking sticks are useless whenever your trek takes you on undulating terrain because you'd have to stop, adjust your poles lower or higher or back to normal every time you go up or down or flat. That would be a pain in the butt when hiking solo but impractical when hiking with a group.

This is a good one. I've been doing lymphatic drainage with other instructional videos. All have been very helpful but this is over the top. Thanks.

Hi! Thanks to a friends share, I just found you!!!! 🎉😅 May I ask where you are located? Tho I understand you offer retreats in Hawaii and Costa Rica, traveling can be difficult for me. Do you possibly live in Hawaii full time??? With warmest regards, Tera Vivian

All that is actually free and belongs to everyone. Okay not the cars and the concrete or the hyper manicured lawns but no one needs that. That painting...

Thank you so very much. You have such a graceful and nurturing presence. I’m getting over a severe respiratory infection. Did some of this gently and it’s helping me with my recovery. Many blessings to you. Hope you post more videos.🧡🧡

Had surgery to put stents in left leg due to car accident that crushed it. It’s been great but I don’t like using the low dose aspirin because every time I bump my arms instant bruise.

You can breathe expanding your side ribs, and not use your belly at all, like Katy Bowman talks about. Those muscles probably need to be stretched though.

I'd LOVE to know what kind of pillows are used under the arms when sleeping on your back. Idk what to buy. I'm not a fan of down pillows.

I’ve been doing this for about a week. It’s crazy how hard/painful it is! Getting everything flat against the wall is the challenge, even the wrists which you easily did. Thanks and your arms and upper body look great which shows how hard you work!!

WOW....I had back surgery 50 years ago (1972) for scoliosis. I have a 12-inch rod, 7 7-inch rod, and 5 pins all attached to the vertebrae along my spine with bone graphs. I have severe disc degeneration i'm in incredible pain and discomfort at all times...i rarely get any sleep. I can definitely see that i could benefit from the use of the pillows you've demonstrated in this video...thank you very much

OMG you have all the answers and explanations to everything I that I couldn’t understand with other breathing exercises. I can properly breathe when I conscience about breathing but when I’m in deep concentration of a task, I forget to breathe.😢
