How often do I water this plant ? Had one around 5 weeks it’s a drama queen ! It’s grew loads but a lot of brown spots under the leaves. I had to repot it as the leaves are constantly hanging down . Am now watering from the bottom. And given her liquid plant feed . Any tips on making her leaves come back up please
@onlyplants4 сағат бұрын
Hmmm this is a tough one to figure out… how often to water depends on the potting media and your environment. They love good air movement though and suffer when its stiff air.

This is my first time seeing the variegated Anthuriums and I LOVE THEM!! I could almost house an entire collection of them! Ok, as long as I can have my variegated Monsteras too! LOL. 😂 I am totally here for all the variegation.

❤️❤️ this is sweet. The variegation is getting better and more affordable with time. Hope we can all access to it someday

I agree. It was really hard to get super long forceps. That was in the 1980s. I recently tried an internet search and after 30 years, they still haven't come online. But she's wrong on two counts. We already hand made large forceps in 1985, and I was micropropagating orchids in 1983. It was my first job, just.. Signed Adelaide, South Australia

I have learned the hard war about handling this plant. It felt like I had fiberglass in my fingers and the pain would come back here and there for 3 months! Be extremely careful not to get the juices of this plant on ya!

I put leftover iron bars, leftover from a baby cake over top of my aquariums and set the pots on top Antherium love it there they get a gentle humidity. I do not fix them in anyway so that roots go in the water. Just set the pot on top of the bars.

Do anthuriums usually struggle if humidity falls below 60% during times of the day? My draconopterum really struggled during shipment and lost its leaves. Not sure if its adaptability issue or shipping stress. Would love to see videos of how to adapt plants or care for plants after shipping :)

Sean, add a heaping tablespoon of sugar to two liters of water. And give to plants with all white leaves. It provides photosynthesis and you should get green again

So glad I saw this video. I have one of these plants as a gift to me .. and suddenly it just got too heavy and start curling downward. Now I know what to do. It is winter here in SA .. is it okay to prune it now and propagate? Thank you for this insightful video. 🙌🏻
@onlyplants3 күн бұрын
Yes you can propagate as long as you can give it enough light. Indoor lightbulb works too.
