👏 good job. Season 1was great. Can't wait for Season 2. Sharon Gannon is awesome. Would love an episode on how to introduce kids to veganism when they don't live with you, example a grandchild who lives in a non vegan home. ❤❤❤❤

You lost me at the reincarnation junk. I used to think fundamentalist Christians were bad for thinking only 6,000 people deserve to go to heaven while everyone else deserves to be tortured forever and ever. But what you're saying is that the entire population of humans that has ever existed deserves to be tortured and killed as livestock animals every two or three years over and over. What kind of miserable worldview is that to think that the world is absolutely stacked full of nothing but evil people all the time? At least the Christians allow 6,000 people to get into heaven.

Unfortunatelly, not all products that are made of faux leather or fake fur are vegan, we have to be careful there, too, because there are dyes, glues and other components that might not be vegan.

Yea there are some strange 'beauty' trends out there . Reishi is the mushroom of longevity. The Reishi mushroom was limited to the emperor back in the olden days, now it's more widely cultivated and available in this day. Some craftY individuals even used its effect to boost their health and ability whilst living with the intent to actively harm others; others with normal intent should not be unwise to Reishi's benefits if the actors of inequity were privy to it and gaining advantage over them .

My elimination diet for the skin: Toothbrush. Toothpaste. Vegan Shower Gel. Razor. Towel. Sunlight. That is it. Male vegan personal hygiene and beauty products, the complete list. That is a manual toothbrush and a manual razor, none of this electric nonsense. Not even shaving cream. Because vegan, shower happens once a week since microbiome does a better job when well trained and only fed low fat, zero added sugar, zero processed, whole food, plant based diet. No sun cream either since I need vitamin D and cycle everywhere. Needless to say, my bathroom is spotless and very easy to dust. The vegan shower gel is important as lesser products are basically beef or pig fat with palm oil. Who wants that slathered over their body. Skincare needs to be inside out. You don't get to look good as a guy by painting your skin with weird stuff, natural is the way to go. Not one pimple or spot. I could have spent $10 this year on personal hygiene things. It was quitting all processed food that made the difference, before then I would get an itchy scalp if I did not wash my hair. I also had some weird moles that vanished. They were probably cancer of some sort. I also had patches of eczema. Those went too. I feel very happy inside my skin and, if you were wondering, I do smell great, and not even my farts stink. Trainers are box fresh too. Clothes only need washing if I spill my vegan food on them. I highly recommend getting rid of the lot when it comes to hygiene and beauty products. But you have also got to get rid of things like sugar as your body excretes that through the skin, for bacteria to grow and for dead bacteria to stink. If you only sweat salt then that kills bacteria so you don't get them breed in the first place. My skin is naturally moisturised, and I think that needs to be the goal, skincare from the inside out.

I've been vegan for more than 15 years and things are getting better but unfortunatelly realy slowly, and it can be frustrating that people in this day and age do not realize that animals have wonderful sweet souls and need love,. But as you said Jamie they need us in the long run and we need to find a support system in order to help them! Their lives and freedom depend on us! 🐱🦊🐶🦍🦁🐅🐆🐏🐑🐷🐫🐖🦛🐘🐿🐇🐀🦥🐤🦘🦡🦉🐥🐍🐊🐢🐳🐬🦖🐠🐡🦑🦀🦐🐙🦋🐜

Another wonderful episode! I was just thinking --- you guys recently did an episode from vegan parents, I think another great episode would be from vegan kids/teenagers and their everyday experiences, how to overcome potential bullying, experiencing different situations while being a vegan in school, how to do activism and make a change at such a young age so you don't feel like you can't do anything, what if your parents disagree with you, how important it is to have mentors and/or people to talk to who align with your values, etc. Might be a little tricky to pull off because some kids aren't ready to get deep into it, have concerns with privacy, maybe their parents want control, but I'm sure a lot of kids are, and even an 18-19 year old would work. I saw a post that said something like, "Shoutout to vegan kids/teenagers, it takes a lot of courage and guts to basically recognize what it is you were contributing to, and to do something about it, and to stand up to authority at such a young age." It might share some similarities with the parents episode, but from the perspective of a child (preferrably a teenager or young adult) it could definitely turn into an entirely different conversation. Even just an episode about mental health and how to stay sane as a vegan, especially a young vegan, would be a great idea! :)

If you want to get fit without growing big muscles, run or ride your bicycle. Cardio exercises won't make you big. The athletes in the tour de France are skinny but super strong. Go vegan for the animals, what happens to them matters to them!

Regarding B12, it is cobalt that is the element in the B12 vitamin that no animals or plants can do for themselves. Bacteria make B12 and these bacteria thrive in poo. B12 is a must take. Where do foodstuff animals get it from? Farmers give it to them as a supplement. Therefore cut out the middle cow. Just eat the supplement. Vitamin D is something else to take if you live in grey skied places, if you live in San Diego and spend all day outside, then you produce enough from the sun. All other vitamins can easily be obtained from the diet if you eat plenty of vegetables. Iron is best not supplemented as the body cannot get rid of excess. Women can get rid of the excess through having a period, but guys can only get rid of excess by donating blood. Excess makes you tired as does not enough iron, so it is best to run the body on the defaults and avoid all supplements apart from B12 and optionally vitamin D. If you are supplementing, then you are substituting. Excess B12 just flows out, so there is no danger in consuming too much. If you don't want to supplement then 'natural hygiene' is the way to go, where you don't wash the soil and manure off your vegetables. This was how our ancestors without running water got B12. They didn't even know what vitamins were though. Healthy vice is a useful phrase and Ashley is fantastic. She must be a lot older than she looks. I would prefer to get my exercise tending a garden rather than lifting weights to put them down again. Fitness culture is a modern invention in a society where everyone travels the disabled way in cars rather than with 'active transport' - cycling, walking, riding a horse, paddling a boat or running. Our ancestors worked hard, physical jobs and did not travel in glorified mobility scooters (cars). They needed four thousand calories a day and mostly ate bread. They did not have calories to waste on 'work outs' because they did actual work. We live in a era of global warming and it is the cows and cars to blame, really people have to go vegan and get into active travel - so cycling everywhere and saving their energy for that, not lifting dumb kettlebells in front of mirrors. Ashley has turned bad vices into a healthy vice, turned lifting weights (to put them back down again) into a job and not become overly consumed by the fitness industry. As someone willing to call bullshit on this American fitness industry, I respect her rationale and she looks fab.
