Thanks for the video, it's clarified a few bits for me. Looking to purchase a similar unit for my father in his SQ5 8R and was leaning toward the Linux unit over the Android ones just due to simplicity as he is only interested in adding Carplay .

Remove the 10mm bolt from the bracket. Push the bracket over to the side, then the switch has enough room to squeeze past the bracket. It’s not easy but it does move out.

My 2020 mk7 jetta doesn't even have those reflectors. But there's a rectangle hole on the bottom where that release bolt is for the door panel. Will these fit on the bottom in that hole?

So how do the bulbs actually connect? You didn't screw back on the old black backing that was attached to the halogens? How do the bulbs light if no power to back of em? You didn't show how they connect!??
@CarsandCoding
@CarsandCoding 26 күн бұрын
Correct, the led bulbs are a complete unit, nothing from the old bulb is reused. I separated the heat sink from the new bulb in order to sneak it in, then I screwed the heat sink back on. The big hockey puck sized cover is put back on but that is just so no water/dirt gets in. The black handle shaped part on the old halogen bulb is NOT used.

I personally would NOT install LED headlights (at least not low beam) in front of reflector housings. You're going to blind the shit out of people that way. Projectors, no problem.

I watched your video and wanted to do the same on my audi a4. I couldn't find the same navigation that you posted the link to, but I found almost the same one. I have a problem with the connection of the concert and the screen. I am missing the connector that you include in the factory cable. I wonder if you can give me the name of the cable so I can find it, because it didn't arrive in the package. i think the output is called lvsd. thank you

Thank you for this video. My wife's A4 has the oil pooling up in the same area and assumed it was the valve cover gasket. Just ordered the TC gasket and the O-ring from FCP Euro. I must say you won the lottery with that stripped screw. If it was me, it would've been the lowest least-accessible screw that stripped.

You can disconnect and reconnect the battery any time. No coding is needed if you just disconnect. Only if you replace the battery.

Root cause: I've watched a few of these headliner repair videos and no one seems to mention the cause. Sure, there's age, but they all "seem" to start sagging where the sunroof drain holes are (2 in the front and 2 in the rear). From the videos I've seen, the leaks/sagging are not necessarily due to clogged drain holes, but due to the unions/joints failing in the drain line tubing. So, after I take care of the drain lines, then I'll repair the headlining. As always, thanks for a great video!

The C5 allroad came with the memory seats on the passenger as well. At least for the first couple of years. Both of my C5 allroads had them, back in the day. Also, I tend to keep a ton of extra Audi bolts. If you happen to have a part number, I'll check to see if I have what you're looking for lol

I needed to replace the brakes on my 2013 S4, the fronts were easy. When it came to the back ones I had done my research and read and read about using VAC to reset the back parking brake. I somehow found this video and I watched and reviewed it several times. I decided to go for it and it worked. I will say before you try the parking brake once you are done make sure you have bled the brakes first. Remember you took fluid out so you could retract the parking brake. This video is well worth watching and it made doing the rear brakes so much easier.

I just installed this to my car (audi b8 2010 2.0L) and at startup it makes a knocking sound, then after that everything runs fine… Maybe I didnt screw it all the way in?? what do you think?
@ArchuletaAuto
@ArchuletaAuto 2 ай бұрын
The hook is to support the cable that runs underneath. Pro tip: DO NOT DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME. Support with floor jack and remove both 18mm’s at the same time. Then you can raise motor higher without putting stress on either side. You’ll have more room making it much easier to r&r. Also on driver side first reach down behind the mount and take off that hook. It’s easy to do and makes it way easier to remove mounting plate and put back. I think it’s a 10mm nut.
