Literally almost everyone forums.. videos says drop the subframe on 03-07 Honda or Acura to change these sway bar bushings. I saw one comment saying he used a swivel head ratchet and didn't drop his subframe... Then I see this video with a swivel head... looking to be true. I haven't tried changing them yet though..

03 - 07 Accords are 7th gen. Body shape is different around the right side bushing bracket. There is no way to put a ratchet on the bolt without dropping the subframe a bit... even official Honda service manual says so... unfortunately bad design in this case.

I appreciate you making this video as there don't seem to be too many on this particular part for the gen8 accord. replacing sway bar bushings on these is definitely way harder than it oughta be (kind of like changing the headlight bulbs, why Honda why??). I replaced mine recently and can tell you, one thing that makes this job massively easier is an electric ratchet with that same swivel socket & 14mm. just crack the bolts loose a turn, squirt some penetrating oil on the threads, tighten back up, and then zip 'em right outta there with the e-ratchet.

I can definitely see why people don't do a video on this. What a pain. These bolts come out hard and forget the back bolt.

Not fucking happening on an 06 V6, that's for damn sure. Impossible without cutting away some metal and customizing a couple box wrenchs with some torches and pipes. Still a motherfucker and good luck getting both bolts started with the new bushing installed. DROP THE FUCKING SUBFRAME! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND SAVE YOURSELF HOURS OF WORK AND IT'S STILL A BITCH. I CAN TELL YOU THAT BEFORE DESIGNING IT THEY SAID , "WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE HAS TO CHANGE THIS". OR AFTER THEY SAID....."FUCK!!...HOW ARE OUR MECHANICS GOING TO EVEN FIX THIS?" What a colossal mistake to engineer this bullshit design. How about less FUCKING sheet metal and cut way the fuck back on the shoulders surrounding the back bolt?? Or how about bolted from underneath...threading into a welded in place nut?? Fuck me, this shit is what makes working on a car suck.

Did you use a swivel head ratchet or a swivel adapter with a deep 14mm socket?

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience... Might I ask if you were attempting to resolve an issue or was this preventative? For me, at 160k miles, I wanted to do a preventative update. At 1st I thought it was crazy $480 - $640 for a complete remanufactured VB. I only want to do this once... How/ why did you choose this 1 of the 6 potential options?. I was initially going to just do the -MK Master Kit but it appears like all 6 are necessary as preventative... 3 of the kits require a $200 Boring tool plus the 6 kits come to nearly $470 anyway... So all of the sudden $480 complete... is not looking as bad... The $650 option gives you a new updated solenoid pak... So after digesting the additional $170 for new solenoid paks may make sense... Once again I ask... How did you make sense of all of the Sonnax options and choose the one you did? Thanks again
