even his sticks lazily bouncing on the snare at the end have more rhythm than my drumming

Hey Alex, been watching for a few years now. Was hoping to get some insight in 20” bass drums. Ive been using 22” forever and always felt they could be tiring and too boomy. Ive have had some interest in 20” for awhile now. It sounds awesome in this video. I was thinking of custom ordering a 20x18. Thanks!

How do you manage to make your snare sound so punchy on top (lots of 8khz boosted) without the hihat bleed becoming too strong? Do you use a clipper on the snare to get the snap that way?

Man i love your descriptions, just like lovely stories about how you discovered stuff. We all have these stories of our own, its just sick to see yours and to hear your passion coming through talking about all the sick music you've heard, the artists you look up to, and the stuff you're playing and doin in your life
