I wrote a bachelor thesis about using LiFePO4 as UPS-batteries (instead of lead-acid) back in 2020 - exactly because i found that LiFePO4 was quite interesting - and compared it to other types. Only americans use lithium based UPS's - europeans are still to conservative :D

the GenX "big battery" grid storage plant near Rockhampton Australia, had a fire in its Tesla supplied LiFePO4 batteries in 2023. 5.25 LoL........the smoke coming out of that cell is luckily being ventilated, because if it was in a confined space, it would likely build up and ignite.......put one of those in your home or RV etc at your own risk. The LTO looked the best, but they are pricey.

I build all of my e-bike batteries out of 26650 cells now because of this video! Lol

LTO's are just too heavy to be useful. They are safe, but the energy density is too low. They can be used in small locomotives and small ships, but for road use , not so much. They are even less usable for aeroplanes. So, as they are more expensive than the best but too dangerous cobolt or still flammable iron phosphate batteries, using them as mega storage units for the grid would make electricity even more expensive. Battery powered future is just an astronomical waste of resources. Future historians will think us as idiots...

HOw many temp sensors are per cell ? HOw you can tell the difference between the temp of casing of cell and inner temp, such cathode, anode, sep., elyct. ?

What is maximal active balance current with respect to C. If I have MPPT capable of C2, is this BMS capable of C2 balancing current, if over time AC impedance, DC resistance and capacity of cells go over acceptable threshold ? What about comm. with MPPT and inverter ? Is there DC-DC converter, that I can use my 48 / 60 / 72 / 96 V - 15 kVA inverter per phase ?

I have a rental property in a community that just banned parking anywhere but your garage. Cant park on street or grass. If you own an EV, you have to charge it inside the structure. No EV should EVER be parked or charged inside aby building.

As a digital photographer, I have several lithium ion batteries for my cameras, some dating to 2011. They have never become warm, let alone exploded into flames. I guess I must be one of the lucky people to have the safe batteries, huh? I'm still waiting to see my first EV fire, too.
