@@adydaddy The electric motor is not getting throttle

and it's so compact too, for my governors I've used differentials to do "RPM arithmethic" let's call it and it's quite a bit larger, is it available somewhere? I'm twitching to see how it works, the shifter seems a bit wobbly and I can't stop wondering what's behind it
@promaks-warthunder18 күн бұрын
Did you just connected jet engine to diesel rps?
@adydaddy18 күн бұрын
@@promaks-warthunder No... there are 2 small motors with a microcontroller, it calculates load and RPS of the engine to give accurate sound response
this works exactky like my automatic transmission! fun to see that i wasnt the onlyone who made it this way! my early verisions worked with a differential and engine load. when the load was high it turned the differential and so turned the shift linkage. then i made a new system (this exact system) and it works so much better!

269 before the unexplained crash😂. Probably a bug but, it could get fixed.

Have you tried pairing this with the new engines?
@adydaddy2 ай бұрын
Not yet since it is operated solely on engine RPS, it should be the same

This is brilliant, I notice track vehicle require ridiculous amount of Torque making small sized track vehicle impossible running on low RPS. Maybe this would help
@adydaddy4 ай бұрын
Indeed, tanks require disproportionate amount of torque even tho it might be lighter than a truck 😄

This is really cool, I just got gear blocks, and once he makes it easier to node skip or make loops in general easier this game is gonna be my favorite.

There are two centrifugal clutches that measure rpm, one of them is inverted and is used for downshifting and other is used as upshift. These clutches transfer power from the engine, rpm reduced significantly by worm gears, to the shifting arm mechanism
